The final death of Doomsday?

I was thinking... Doomsday (DC) was formed only from a genetic basis, so he's still made of atoms. Couldn't someone create a gun so powerful to dissolve all bonds between the atoms, and maybe cause fission among them? After which, the atoms will do what atoms do - pretty much float around and react with each other... lol I'm going into some pretty hard sci-fi here.
