The Dark Knight Rises: John Blake as Nightwing?

It's a fan-made picture. I had my doubts about him as Nightwing, but I have to admit, he would look pretty awesome. What do you think?

Note: I'm well aware he's going to become Batman, so don't comment on that. I'm just trying share a picture that I think looks cool.

If he wants to Continue batman's legacy he won't become Nightwing.

I know, I wrote all about it in another thread. I'm just saying IF he became Nightwing, this costume would look cool.

That is awesome, allthough he should do something about his face, bit easy to recognize :p

@FadeToBlackBolt: Fair enough, but I'd still love to see Joseph Gordon Levitt play Dick Grayson/Nightwing in a film. He's not exactly a fitting personality for Batman.

John Blake as Batman, Robin, or Nightwing is a crap idea. Sorry.

Pretty cool overall. Not too keen on the eyewear though. I think it should cover a little bit more. Not a full mask but something that would at least protect his identity.

looks cool but the eyes kinda suck

also, I was hoping we got rid of the Nolanverse and could move on to a JLAverse but it seems that's just not possible...

Joseph as Dick? or as John Blake? Because I honestly can't see how any Nightwing fan would like the idea of John Blake being Nightwing.

Because he is a character made up solely for DKR. He hasn't established himself to be even considered to be Batman. If his designated successor, Blake were to be someone other than a new person also known as Batman, then why repair the Bat Signal on top of the GCPD headquarters? Second, it would be in place with the principles learned by Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins if he made Batman seem legendary or immortal. His successor not being Batman would crush that tactic. So, from these two details, and the doctrine learned by Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins, I would say that Blake becomes the new Batman, with the items inherited from Bruce Wayne.

@DieHard200904: one more correction, why should the Bat-Signal broken in Dark Knight Rises be left behind, anything other than a Batman would mean a different signal. A Batman that was supposedly resurrected would be more intimidating than another vigilante with a different title.

People don't understand. I know he's going to become Batman, I'm just sharing a damn picture.

Well, ok, if it's a picture, I would say that covering the hair a little bit would make the identity less obvious, like say some sort of skull cap.

Uh not a good idea in my opinion.
