We never got to go this match in the tournament so i was curious to see who would've won!
Which movie did you like better and why?

Honestly their equal to me. You can't really say which is better imo because they are two different type of movies. 9.5/10 for both
The Dark Knight: Action scenes and ending were weak compared to WS, but it was stronger in most other areas.
Ain't even close, The Dark Knight is the far superior film. It's an instant classic that will just as good 10 years from now because of it's impeccable use of practical effects. Oh, and you remember that Joker guy? Yeah.
TDK is more classic as it was 6 years ago and people still remember it as being on of the greatest superhero movies. Will people still remember TWS 6 years from now?
The Dark Knight easily IMO it's in my top 5 favorite movis of all time while Cap 2 is in my favorite CBM of all time. Cap 2 was hugely overrated IMO

TDK's hand-to-hand combat scenes were definitely weaker, but not necessarily its action scenes in general. And I think you've got it backward as far as the endings go. TDK's ending was way better than WS's. Just think of how many times it has been quoted and re-quoted.
"Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him... because he can take it. Because he's not a hero... he's a silent guardian; a watchful protector. A dark knight."
So much epicness. On the other hand, I can't remember a thing about WS's ending, and I watched the movie twice.
Sorry, The Dark Knight is still just mostly Heath Ledger to me. Batman Begins vs Winter Soldier would be the better comparison IMO.
@wolverine08: Indeed. But in either case, the Batman films are still better. Even though TDK is a Ledger/Joker-fest, it is still overall a better film than Winter Soldier, in my opinion. Both are great though, don't get me wrong.

Fair enough I suppose, but I personally find TDK somewhat mediocre besides Joker and Jim Gordon.

same here I cant bring myself to vote, no matter which I vote im gonna regret it
@omnicrono: WS's ending wasn't great, but DK's ending was dishonest, cynical rubbish, at least to me, from two characters who were supposed to be the most stalwart protectors of Gotham City. The people need to understand that the power and responsibility to change the future is in their hands, not some political babyface's. If knowing the truth about Dent will make them lose hope, why should Bats and Gordon fight for them? Why DO they fight, if they have no faith in the people they protect (even after the ferry scene)?
The line was cool, but it distracted from this.
@darthmummy: I agree with you there.
@darthmummy: I still don't see why he didnt suit up. He avoided the police before that happened and is good at escape

well Harvey wasn't a political babyface. he was the strong leader that wasn't afraid to clean up Gotham when everyone else would. Bats/Gordon feared them losing hope in the sense that public servant who seemed to be their last chance was killed for standing up is something to rally behind. while a corrupted one could possibly be the last straw to a hopeless Gotham population. yes the power for change is in their hands but like in real life the population isn't an entity but a mass of sometimes scared individuals. the lost of a leader physically or in spirit can be devastating.
I go Dark Knight, happy Harvey was brought up. Eckhart is underrated and did a fabulous job. Two face is pretty tough to play. Still holding on a to a sense of morality behind a superstition he held before a psychotic breakdown.

Agreed. He did a fantastic job. I think Two-Face was very well written... just wish he would have been given more to do.
@kasino: Babyface was possibly not the best word. What I mean is, losing one man to chaos, even if it is Harvey Dent, only means the end if you forget what made him great in the first place.
Maybe Gordon could have stepped up with a stirring speech that assured the people that corruption and darkness would never become the city's natural state as long as it was opposed by good people, or something.
On the other poll for this TWS is dominating. Good to see the hype has died down and the movies are being judged fairly, which means TDK is still better.
@darthmummy: I get what you saying but your making a new movie. a movie where the focus isn't so much batman but the effects of Harvey's decent. your making an excellent movie but what they did do fit into their storyline and made sense towards the ending. it also fits real life, lies have been rallied behind. even rick and morty made a episode about it. a common theme.
