The Comic Vine 2013 Movie Awards VOTING: Best Villain

I chose zod because he accomplished destroying metropolis and making superman have a moment of weakness. I can see his death being used in future films by lex to make Superman seem bad or by Batman to justify his misstrust of Superman.

For me, it was a toss up between Khan and Zod (I have yet to see Smaug in action). The coin landed on heads, Zod, so I chose him.

I just took Jor-El's triumph over Zod as a visual display of his philosphy at work. He never agreed with the class system of Krypton, hence his 'would if a child dreamed....' speech. I assumed that he trained himself well, regardless of his scientist class grouping. But, I do agree that it sort of downgraded Zod a bit.

His portrayal as a whole was great.This was just once and it was an impactful moment,it wasn't his biggest scene in movie.

Loki. I love Zod, but think that under repeated viewings he is the weakest link of MoS.

@k4tzm4n Might we ask why Loki is even on this list? While being a villain is his usual role, that really wasn't part of what he was doing in the movie, except for the out of nowhere plot-twist at the very end.

Loki. He's a mastermind, using whatever he's thrown as an advantage. He's also the only villain on the list that won. (for now of course)

Smaug or Loki

Smaug. Thought Zod and Khan were epic, too, but Smaug was just too awesome. Best dragon in any movie ever.

We had this amazing villains, almost all of them were splendid on their jobs. Loki did great but he was a better villain in Avengers. Zod was astounding and absolute on his will,something real strong for Clark to overcome, not only in power. My vote went to Benedict's Khan, he was a complete villain and even a force of nature since the beggining, with his plots and presence. Little by little you realize how just a man could be a menace to all Starfleet, and how all of this amazing crew face him.

Out of the movies I've watched this year, Smaug.

What Loki doing in this pull in first place? After all, he is not main villain in Thor 2. “Best traitorous supporting character” or “best fanservice for fangirls” – that’s he, all right.

I nominate Zod, with Khan as close second.

Was a Loki a villain? Lesser of two evils I suppose but, I don't know, he felt more pro- than ant- for me.

I am just saying, Loki wasn't really the villain and the fact that he is even on this list is weird. He was as much a hero of the movie as he is a villain.

Zod actually felt like he was from the comics Loki was not as devious and felt like an anti-hero more than a real villain and was to humorous
