I'm not trying to be rude, but was that an advert? Every single comic on the list was warner bros except for the two disney titles, hit-girl in the middle and x-men at the end. Do you at comicvine get paid to advertise comics? That might be a question with an obvious, common sense answer, but I'm naive.
@KainScion: Yeah, but I feel like that's exactly what you would do to not make it seem like blatant advertisement (again, not trying to be a d*ck if I'm way off). Plus G-Man really didn't even seem excited about most off the comics he was talking a bit, kind of threw me a bit.
Silly Gman. The Sword was below the table. She stucked it there and took it out when Graves appeared.

Uhm majority of the comic books are marvel and dc. What else is gman gonna talk about? Once in a while sure they talk about indie comics, but majority of the time, its the big 2. Everyone does that. Also, I checked your past 10 posts, they're all about marvel and/or dc characters, but I doubt you're advertising for them. Or are you?
You can't eat iceman, but you can put his cubes in your drink.
Hey random question, when does batman earth one come out? Amazon says the 10th and the DC website says the 4th. What's up with that?
Cool video, I'd watch every week. But the voices are creepy and weird and that music at the end is awful. Other than that, it's pretty cool. :)
I would like to see a few more explosions, perhaps a sidekick, and maybe a festive hat. But other than that you have a promission to proceed.
@Onemoreposter: Sorry, I find this pretty insulting. If we got 'paid to advertise comics,' I don't think they'd want this to be the route to go. If something was ever sponsored, we wouldn't try to hide it. If someone was paying to sponsor something, they'd want it to be clear as well.
@Cyborg6971: Often comic shops get HCs a week before Amazon and the major books stores.

@G-Man I always want to see more of any new features you wanna make man!
This is a fun concept and I hope you keep this going. :)
Hell yeah, totally agree. Keep these vids coming @G-Man
I still miss the very first unscripteds, but it seems you've grown much more comfortable in front of the camera.

I asked a similar question last Friday (not about advertising) about why there is practically no coverage of anything other than the Big 2 on ComicVine... And didn't get an answer. In fact, I think I was skipped, so I figured I unintentionally ruffled feathers. I didn't ask about Comic Vine 'being paid', but I did wonder why it's always DC/Marvel/DC/Marvel/Walking Dead/DC/Marvel/DC/Marvel... Not that I completely mind that, but there are other comics companies. I would figure Corey would review more underground comics, rather than the 'mainstream' stuff, considering his political slant and that he has access to a lot of stuff most people wouldn't be able to afford being a comic store owner.
Or it could have been my other question about reviews... Just askin'.
@CrashLanden: We have limited review 'slots.' By that I mean, me, Sara and Mat can only do a limited number of reviews on Wednesdays. That's pretty much the only day we devote to reviews. In some ways, we have to review the books people want to see reviewed. That means a large number of Marvel and DC books. We don't just review their stuff. We do lots of Image and the occasional BOOM, Dark Horse and IDW books. Marvel and DC put out way more comics so it's just natural they have a bigger presence in our review space. We also look at the number of views reviews get. There'll be time we review obscure or less 'popular' titles but when they get a fraction of views that other books get, we have to make a hard decision. Reviews and payment do not go hand in hand. We are always completely honest.
Also, if DC was 'paying' for this feature, I don't think they'd appreciate me poking fun at JL, the book they'd probably want to be their number one selling title.
