BATMAN #41

Best Awkward Moment Between Friends

I actually witnessed something similar to this before and it didn't go too well. With the changes in the New 52, Jim Gordon's age has decreased slightly. Besides the change in the color of his hair, it wasn't clear exactly how much younger he became. Not even Harvey Bullock knew. But now we all do.

Best Visual History Via Paint Jobs

What this is all about is explained HERE. It was a nice little homage even if it's something that won't actually be used for the suit in the comics.

SECRET WARS JOURNAL #2

Best Car Chase

What I really liked about this car chase (yeah, it's between a car and a motorcycle), is all the lights and the colors. The chase doesn't end well.

CATWOMAN #41

Best Reaction to Batman’s Death

What? Batman's dead? Is he really? It has been months since anyone's seen him. Selina finally gets the news. Like a punch in the gut.

SPIDER-GWEN #5

Best Description of a Rival’s Singing Voice

In Spider-Gwen's world, she's the drummer in a band. Felicia Hardy is also in another band. The way she sings is described with some interesting detail.

SILK #5

Best Description of Black Cat’s Current Persona

It's not Felicia's week. In the regular Marvel Universe, she's kind of gone through some changes. She's a bit more...evil now. A little kid gives her thoughts on her.

Best Star Wars Reference

Silk is teaming up with her "sidekick," Spidey. When it's pointed out that their current plan could be a trap, Spidey says what has to be said.

CHRONONAUTS #4

Best Reason Not to Time Travel to Jurassic Days

Seems like everyone and their friend went and saw Jurassic World this weekend. If you found yourself having access to a time travel device, you might be tempted to travel back to see actual dinosaurs. It's probably not a good idea.

(But the actual answer is, yes, she has sort of worn them before).

Best Way to Finally Kill Deadpool

Can Deadpool be killed? He's been through quite a bit and always manages to regenerate. Even chopping his head off won't do the trick. But it looks like a solution may have been found.

Best Reason to Use Your Peephole With Caution

You can never be too cautious when you hear a strange knock on your door. Even using the peephole isn't safe. Hopefully this won't frighten you so much you'll never answer the door again.

WEIRDWORLD #1

Best Map

If you're headed out to a weird place, a map could be helpful. When it's hand-drawn, you might want to reconsider. It is pretty amazing, though.

ALL-STAR SECTION 8 #1

Weirdest Batman Guest Appearance

There really isn't a way to describe what happens in this issue. You really just need to read it for yourself. Once Batman finally shows up, we see him getting a parking ticket, change styles, and...really, it just all can't be described.

HARLEY QUINN #17

Best Movie Lines

Harley has a new "Gang of Harleys" and they're trying to clean up the neighborhood in a heroes-for-hire kind of way. While they're solving an important case of missing garbage cans, some familiar movie lines are said.

Best Way to Finally Kill Deadpool

According to himself in the Deadpool kills the Marvel U, wasn't it to repeatedly set him on fire (Daken/X-23)? While the acid (gel) bath was what he gave Magneto?

Only in a Garth Ennis comic will you ever get to hear Batman defending himself as a non-racist

Poor Black Cat, I hope they move her out of the villain territory and back into the anti-hero zone where she's meant to be.

I thought the other Batman homage in Section 8 was funnier, just by a little. They were both great. "I'M BENDING OVER BACKWARDS FOR YOU PEOPLE!!!!"

I always thought Gordon was in his fifties pushing on sixty myself.

That wasn't even the best part of Harley Quinn #17 IMO. I liked when the dude delivered the birds and Harley was still in her underwear when she answered the door. She took him to the roof and while doing that he said, the view from here is incredible. She replied, it isn't going to spank itself. I laughed pretty hard. Then he said, really? All excited cause he thought she was going to let him do it. She said something to the effect of, no do you talk to your mother like that. Great panel.

Nice Sam and Twitch vibe from Gordon and Bullock.

Chrononauts definetly was the best page spread ever.

Deadpool has returned from being burnt to ashes. It just takes him longer to heal.

Acid wouldn't kill him either, it would take long and he'd just keep renegerating his flesh before it could kill him.

Well, if it kept happening to him, at some point his body is going to run out of energy... in theory at least. But I doubt thats something you could apply here.

@kalorama: I don't know about the logistics, but it seems possible to me. As for the reasoning, if I'm remembering correctly, they are a struggling band, so she is so poor that she needs to use her cat as a makeshift ear warmer. It may be ridiculous to some, I loved it.
