This used to be a VIDEO FEATUREfor over one hundred episodes. We've changed the format to a text version as most seem to prefer it this way. Let me know in the comments below.
Each week we take a look at the other Best Stuff you might have missed...this week.
DEADPOOL #40
Best Cameos
Every once in a while you'll see actual cameos of real people in comics. When they're specifically mentioned by name, it can date the comic or make it feel a little too contrived. When it comes to Gerry Duggan and Brian Posehn's DEADPOOL series, the normal rules are thrown out the window.
Best Place for Jason Aaron to Hide Weapons
One of the cameos in the issue was writer Jason Aaron. We find out the true reason he sports a big beard. When the action kicks in, we see several items retreived from his beard.
GRAYSON #6
Best Way to Recognize Dick Grayson in Disguise
Midnighter has had some run ins with Dick Grayson. The problem is, with Spyral's tech, you can't quite make out their agent's faces. It turns out thanks to Midnighter's keen eyes, he doesn't need to have seen Dick's face to recognize him.
ALL-NEW CAPTAIN AMERICA #3
Best Description of Sin's Voice
The Red Skull's daughter, Sin, is a real piece of work. We often read these different characters and maybe don't really think about how they must sound. Rick Remender gives us a good description for Sin.
Best Busting Out of Chains Moment
How sucky must it be to be chained up and have to listen to a villains long-winded speech? Falcon Captain America has to listen to Sin. But eventually he gets to bust out of his chains in a move that would make Superman proud.
DEEP STATE #3
Best Reason Why it’s Not Always Necessary to Tell Someone to Run
How many times have see seen moments where characters are in a really bad situation and one has to tell the other to "Run"? In DEEP STATE, we see a moment it's not necessary to say it.
S.H.I.E.L.D. #2
Best Old School Comic Book Ad Reference
If you're an older reader or if you've happened to read some older back issue comics, you're likely familiar with GRIT. I remember the ads but I've never actually seen one of their papers.
INJUSTICE: YEAR THREE Chapter 16
Best Facial Expression While Getting Punch by an Amazon
Poor Sinestro. It doesn't matter how much power you may have, you just don't want to get on Wonder Woman's bad side.
WOLVERINES #2
Best Negotiator
Can all agree that Mystique is a bad-ass? When going up against the Wrecking Crew, there's a couple ways it could go. She takes the smart road and gives them a pretty good offer.
GHOSTED #16
Best/Worst Wedding Ceremony
Weddings can be highly unpredictable. All sorts of things could happen. In Joshua Williamson's GHOSTED, we see a wedding you'll be thankful you weren't invited to.
AMAZING X-MEN #15
Best 'After Hours' Nickname for Juggernaut
It might not be entirely an "after hours" name but it might conjure some strange thoughts about Juggernaut.
ALL-NEW GHOST RIDER #10
Best Spider-Man Bridge Scene Moment
Remember that time Green Goblin took Gwen Stacy to the George Washington Bridge? It didn't go too well for Gwen. Robbie Reyes unknowingly sort of relives that moment.
STAR WARS #1
Best Attempt at the Jedi Mind Trick
With this comic taking place pretty much right after Episode IV, Luke isn't exactly the most skilled Jedi just yet. Having seen Obi-Wan use the Jedi Mind Trick on Stormtroopers, he decides to give it a try. He's not quite ready for it yet.
SPIDER-VERSE #2
Best Punk Rock Moment
Punk Rock Spidey. No other words are necessary.
Best Poll of the Week
Last week the poll dealt with choosing your favorite Best Stuff of the week (you guys really liked Star-Lord and Kitty's hug). You can check out the rest of the results HERE.
This week, we want to know if you've ever tried using the Jedi Mind Trick.
(Note: if you get a "session expired" notice, refresh the page).
Poll: Have you ever tried using the Jedi Mind Trick?
