SxSW Austin Update.

Im in austin with my wife, the baby and Cap Cascader for the SxSW conference. Cap's talkin on a panel tomorow in the a.m. about web sites.

Today during breakfast my wife spotted "Nightcrawler" aka Alan Cummings a few tables over. I was not exactly convinced it was him, so I went back to the hotel, jumped on my computer and typity type type over to google. Sure enough Alan Cummings is here in Austin for a movie.

Then we left the hotel diner and walked out on to a deserted side-street. No one was there. EXCEPT one baseball cap-wearing guy who passed within feet of us. At which point my wife matter-of-factly exclaimed "Chris Kattan!"

In that instant I thought she was saying the guy mearly looked like Chris Kattan. And I was totally embarassed that she called this short guy in front of me Chris Kattan! Turns out it was him. He only briefly looked up at her, and then ducked his head back down, and picked up his pace -- eager to get away from us.

Ha, no no I dont want anyone's autograph. And I dont need to meet any actors. I just thought it was funny that my wife blurted his name out right in front of him and there was no one else around.

You can tell he's used to being hassled cause he just put his head down and picked up the pace. Good for him.

Dont you know how much a Chris Kattan autograph is worth on the black market. Wait who the heck is Chris Kattan?

Yeah, darn dedication to the "kids." Although I did take last Friday off to head down to Monterey earlier. Going from San Fran during rush hour just plain sucks.
