Superpower That Hasn't Been Introduced? (DC/Marvel)

Can anyone name one?

#2 Posted by YoungJustice (6919 posts) - - Show Bio

The power to burp bubbles.

The only way to really get originality in powers anymore is to add unique stipulations to them. For example, a hero with super strength, but only while in physical contact with rock.

Or Reactive Super Strength, so the person is only as strong as the force they are against... if they need to lift a truck, their strength will increase to the needed level, but if their trying to open a pickle jar, that would be the extent of their strength.

Everytime I think they've discovered all the powers there is...They'll find another one

Look at the 90's x-men...Marrow and Maggot...whatever else you might say about them...they were unique.

Um... Gentle sort of fits that description!!

Chair-Man (no, not . . . "of the Board"). The power to turn into any sort of chair. When someone sits on you, you can read their thoughts and emotions. When you want them to get off of you, you can make yourself feel incredibly uncomfortable. You can hide out in any sort of room or area that would have a chair (a doctor's waiting room, a dentist office, a pool deck . . . the locales are endless!). A great power to have if you were a detective and trying to find clues and culprits. Okay, it's a lame-o power and I suppose Plastic Man could (and would!) use this kind of power, but this is why I'm not a comic book writer!

#18 Posted by Enosisik (1153 posts) - - Show Bio

Almost all if these have been done in funny comics or cartoons. It's very hard to find an original power that hasn't been used in some shape or form. The ironic funny powers are always fun to see.

The ability to transform into a worm made of pastry?

Okay, being serious now, how about the ability to control Dark matter? Or the ability to manipulate Dark Energy? Both of these are hugely more abundant in our universe than the known particles (atoms; electrons, protons and neutrons). Parts of the universe which not even in the latest technology can determine how it works....hell of a power that would be..

#20 Posted by Enosisik (1153 posts) - - Show Bio

Think that would be covered by the power cosmic . I'm sure there is some character in a comic that specifically controls dark energy/matter

#21 Posted by SupahForeigner (227 posts) - - Show Bio

The ability to control dark anti-matter?

p.s. I still think the ability to transform into a worm made of pastry is a winner

#22 Posted by Wolfrazer (7954 posts) - - Show Bio
@moywar700:  Yes but it wasn't food vision, it was only meat vision.

Fourth Wall Sports Powers.

A character that is connected to a real life sports team and his/her abilities vary on the performance of the team and players. These powers are only active when a game is taking place any other time they are average humans.

Shooting rainbows from one's hands, crapping hay, impregnating people at a glance, blinking really fast, sneezing at the speed of light. There's really too many. You can also alter already existing powers in many many ways.

The power to transform into an invisible pink unicorn that shoots lizard-flavored spaghetti.
