Superman vs thor is a horrible match

Superman out classes thor in every aspect and thor is completely out matched why even put them up against eachother? Is it because thor is the Thunder God? Or is it because Thor has super strength? Thors strength doesn't even match up to hulks, superman surpasses hulk it just doesn't make any sense and I want everyone's 2 cents on this topic

I wouldn't go as far as to say its a horrible match and I don't think superman completely outclasses thor in every aspect.

In terms of strength they really aren't that far off but it varies from writer

While their stats are roughly up there the only major differences are thor's mjolnir and superman's speed advantage which if both are used properly can give either character the win.

I'd personally favor thor but I can understand why some people believe superman can win.

Both can do things the other can't and vice versa. They fight in different styles which suits them defeating certain opponents though these styles sometimes might not work against each other.

@masterkungfu: I see your point but superman straight stopped thors mjolnir from hitting him the knocked him out in one hit....thors strength can not even compare to supes superman has destroyed planets with a single punch and his durability is way way better than thors thor is not completely bullet proof he can be injured a lot easier than supes, supes has takin millions of planet busters to the face chest and everywhere else at once

I thought Superman already defeated Thor, and we have confirmation from Captain America that Superman could bulldoze the Avengers.

@noone301994: superman bench pressed earth for 5 days no sunlight at all he can fly at the speed of light he caught Thor's hammer as he tried to hit him with it and thor says "no one in the nine realms" and superman says "in mine I guess there's 11" and knocked thor the f**k out, thor is literally nothing with out that hammer, alls he's got is super strength that doesn't even amount to the hulk. Supermans lifted 200 quintillion tons sorry but thors nothing to him

i always get stuck up on this: everyone knows that if thor and superman had a canon fight with no influence from fans, thor would be able to tag supes easily, hurt him and all that jazz. then people would start claiming these things as feats. Does anyone else see a problem with that

As far as I see it, Superman has a better base power, being stronger, faster, that sort of deal. Thor, meanwhile, is a born and bred warrior from a society of born and bred warriors, and his powers are a fair bit more versatile.

Depending on whether Thor's domain as a god counts as a use of Magic is probably a major sticking point, though I can only assume that the majority might deem that as a yes due to the nature of Mjolnir and all that jazz.

In short, I disagree with it being a horrible match up, it really comes down to a match that would be similar to Goku vs Freiza; Goku's better training vs Freiza's overwhelming, in-born power. Besides, one has to consider whether Shazam is DC's answer to Thor, and Superman has won the majority of battles the two have gotten into.

Thor has no physical strength feats on par with superman . His only best feat was lifting a mountain and struggling to lift a city . All of his other feats have been debunked
