Would he be immune because of his unbreakable skin?
Superman in a zombie outbreak....
Yeah, he'd probably be immune, knowing how he can lower and raise his body temperatures it might take part in killing any spores/parasites causing the infection. Also as mentioned above his alien physiology.
And not part of the OP, but if and zombie apocalypse ever happened and Supes was the last alive, do you think he'd just boil the planet?
@retconcrisis: Yep. And even if he wasn't the last alive, what would srop him from Heat Vision blasting every zombie while eating a $5 foot long.
@blackwind: True. He has all the resources in the world to collect and make the perfect foot-long sandwich with the best top-notch ingredients in under a quarter of a minute.
@matteopg: I don't know much about superman or comics, but I read somewhere that there was a zombie outbreak in the marvel universe and wolverine was even turned into a zombie...and he has fast regeneration.
@goldenoozaru22: wasn't that an actual zombie universe? Like everyone in Marvel was depicted as a zombie weren't they?
I'd say Superman would be immune, different physiology, isn't affected by diseases (unless he's also exposed to green k) and given the outbreak usually is transferred via a bite, I can't see a normal zombie at least being able to bit and pierce his skin to transmit it to him. A zombified super villain may be able to transmit the virus, but again I can't see him being susceptible to it with other influences.
@goldenoozaru22: 10 points for knowing that. It actually didn't happen, it was more of an alternate story. I kind of forgot about that, but I was thinking about a more normal zombie infection, like in walking dead or 28 days later. I mean, the infection in Marvel Zombies even transformed Galactus (I don't know if you know what he is, but it's not very likely that a virus would faze him).
Still, if we go by that reasoning yes. It should be kind of an extra potent zombie outbreak. My own idea was the zombie infectino we saw in other media, and how would superman fare against that.
@matteopg: thanks man, yeah I've just read things here and there on the Internet, I just havnt picked up a Comic yet. But yeah I dont know who galactus is..lol I'm a newbie haha. But yeah I don't even think a zombie would be able to get close to superman because of his superior senses and his speed. But if he were able to be bitten, and somehow puncture through his tough skin , I'm not sure it would affect him. Cause Isn't superman immune to all human diseases, viruses, cancers, etc??? Since a zombie is based from a virus that affects humans, shouldn't superman be immune?
@goldenoozaru22: probably. Still, how cool would a story with a zombie superman be?
