Star Wars: Favourite Lightsaber Duelist

So, basically what the title says, who is your favourite lightsaber duelist and why. It can be anyone in the Star Wars universe (canon).

I'm pretty new at the whole Star Wars concept, apart from watching the films so if I've made a mistake just let me know and I'll correct myself.

This duelist can be from any origin (basically human, sith pureblood and etc.) but does not have to be narrowed down to single lightsaber users only, can also be double lightsaber users, double bladed lightsaber users or any other lightsaber type format user. Can be from any faction (i.e. Sith, Republic etc). Choice can also be made depending on how strong or capable the chosen duelist can be with the force, especially when combining with lightsaber combat.

EDIT: And if you could guys, please give reasons for your choice, and if you feel like it you could also write or show pictures of feats that have convinced you to make the choice that you have.

Tulak Hord. He was arguably the greatest lightsaber duelist of all time.

Mace windu. Reason? I'm not a star wars fan so I don't know of every single jedi but Mace beat palpatine in the movies and it looked really cool.

Luke Skywalker.

He is probably the greatest duelist in the history of Star Wars.

Darth Malgus!

Perhaps, but personally I'd put Tulak Hord higher but its just an opinion.

@enigmalantern: It's funny how people deny Malgus's skill in sabery, because he beat a so called "featless" master. He may be featless, but that video alone is a credit to Kao Cen Darach's saber mastery. Being able to beat him was very impressive IMO.

@the_last_kryptonian: from what I've read, Kao Cen Darach was the jedi battlemaster meaning he was one of the most accomplished and greatest duelists in the jedi order of his time, he was the head instructor in lightsaber combat of the jedi order. So I completely agree, for Malgus to overwhelm Kao Cen Darach is an amazing feat. Satele Shan was only able to defeat him, to an extent, with the assistance of one of the troopers in the battle along with relying heavily on the force after Darth Malgus disarmed her.

Satele Shan, Mace Windu, Ahsoka Tano, and Kit Fisto are always a treat to watch in action.

Mace Windu is pretty epic, especially his fight with Palpatine/Darth Sidious, I'm not familiar with any of his comic book battles. Can you recommend any?

Never saw the hype with Kit Fisto, can you enlighten me as to why he's so liked?

@enigmalantern: Woo, I don't know I can remember good issues with Windu showing his stuff. I haven't read any SW comics sinceI was a kid.

Kit's best feats are in the Clone Wars tv show.

Qui-Gon Jinn

My personal favorite is Darth Bane. He turned something bad into a benefit (Orbalisks bug things) so he had saber proof armor. He was the Sith. Everything he did was for their benefit. He fought like a tank. Like Malgus he wasn't as refined as later duelist be he was an unrelenting force. My other favorite would be Maul and Shaak-Ti.

Darth Maul. He kicked major ass in the prequel and came back just as cool in the series

Obi-Wan.

Yoda.

Luke Skywalker he's most likely the single greatest duelist their is. With minimal training he seemed to all but master Soresu from Master Kenobi and Ataru from Yoda, he also seemed to just pick up Djem-So from dueling his father. Vader despite having to practically relearn everything and having his agility and speed hindered. He was able to incorporate multiple forms into his preferred Djem-So forming an awesome hybrid and compensating for his lack of mobility. Jaina Solo: I admire her resolve, and the fact that she learned from Mandaloarian to practically ignore standard forms and go berserk. Darth Caedus: held his own with Grand Master Luke Skywalker whom was going for the kill naff said. Mara Jade while not necessarily a great duelist was certainly not willing to let that stop her from taking down her adversaries by using other tactics. Want me to pick a favorite? Impossible. ...

Darth Vader. Darth Maul. Yoda.

I really like Obi Wan's style of lightsaber fighting actually. It's simple yet effective and allows him to counter his foes expertly whilst remaining his defensive foothold. Plus there's some stylish Ataru makes for some good counter attack to boot.

But this is also true. Luke is the man when it comes to being the perfect Jedi.

That's basically where I drew my idea of him being a great lightsaber master.

I've only watched the movies, so I'd go with Yoda as most exciting, but I don't have a fav person really

Bump for further discussion, I like this thread, I personally like Plo Koon, Count Dooku, Kenobi, Maul, and Yoda. But the two best ever are Darth Sidious, and Grand Master Luke Skywalker.

Grievous fights are always so epic. Malgus follows.

Malgus is awesome too, theres quite a bit in The Old Republic that gets overlooked.

Darth Maul hands down was the best IMO.

I'm not much of an E.U. guy, but Darth Maul's fight scenes where always epic. Both in the Phantom Menace and the Clone Wars show.
