Spider-Man and Super-Man Vs Riddler, Mysterio and The Joker
Peter Parker awoke in a bed located in the Manhapolis apartment of Peter Grayson and Jason Osborn. Quickly he and Harry turned to the live media coverage for clarity. With a world spiraled into madness Peter took great comfort to receive word not just of some super hero the news referred to as Superman but a prompt phone call from his Aunt May. Disorder in Manhapolis was almost instantly quelled and a sense of hope restored in a way only the Man of Steel could provide. As for Aunt May she happen to be in the city with a personal phonebook with Peter’s number along with the personal ID of a Harriett Parker. Peter demanded she come to his residence immediately for his own comfort.
Speaking of discovering the belongings of others, the news reported to offer cash for any type information in regards to the history of this new Earth unfamiliar to all who inhabit. Film, documentation and especially photos. Peter soon came across pictures under his bed of a costumed vigilante known as Spider-Bat. And with Harry to greet his Aunt May when she arrived he was off to the newspaper. Yet he was familiar with Superman from their encounter from the “Battle of the Century” arc he came upon the statue of a hero who only half resembled him but also of another. One he knew all the more even with that iconic “S” over the shield. In this amalgamated Earth he remembered the news stating Manhapolis guardian was a hero named ”The Solider Of Steel” Super American. Once he hit the crammed frantic newsroom of the Daily Planet (the Bugle’s in Gotham: The Gotham Bugle) he heard the familiar screaming of J. Jonah Jameson being escorted out of the building by security claiming a certain Perry White was trespassing in his office and his building. So loud he yelled over the minute by minute updates coming over the wire. Either way Parker couldn’t be heard offering his exclusive photos except somehow by a tall dark haired man in glasses. Who himself was still gave almost his complete attention towards further updates yet to Parker not as a reporter but as if he recognize the vigilance of another crimefighter. And just as Parker and this Clark Kent began to go over the pictures the news feed was hacked into with an odd message. More like a riddle except way too simplistic:
"If there’s a frog, dead in the centre of a lily pad which is right in the middle of the pond, which side would it jump to?”
Witty and clever as always Peter blurted out: ”Nowhere, the frog is dead. How’s that for a bad joke Kent?” And before Clark could turn and respond he suddenly touched his ear as if someone was communicating with him somehow from a distance. Parker even felt a slight twinge from his spider sense. Not danger but when this feeling left Kent abruptly excused himself. It would seem Kent somehow received a sort of urgent warning leaving Parker to fend for himself in the madhouse newsroom again. That was until reports began to fly in of a potential nuclear bomb set to detonate within the hour at a factory in. The culprits unknown as Spidey raced to the scene assuming Superman was well en route. Unaware Supes raced to a rouse and moreover a deathtrap intended all for him.
The location was already fed to Superman by a super frequency created just for him to be reached by the Batman. Warning him the Joker was at large in Manhapolis perhaps at that location. That the absurd riddle was his own psychotic way of letting the city know where ever they jumped they were still going to die. As if there was any way to jump as the bridges and tunnels were bombed by the time Superman reached the factory where Joker waited. But he wasn’t alone. Once Superman found what he thought was the bomb in a small room the large lead device exploded giving off a blast of green radiation which followed with an intense glare of red ultra violet solar light. The impact so effective Superman already bloody. Looking up he found not only the joker but the Riddler and an oddly dressed villain with a shiny dome over his head. Laying in the clutches of a plot so intelligent, so
well planned and so murderous. A riddle would become a sick joke which would then become a comedy film with a script and cast. Of course at the helm was the Joker who in his own moment of genius realized with the world cattywompus in array the death of Superman was worth a hundred nuclear bombs. Riddler supplied the bait and Mysterio provided a base of operations and particulars like explosives.
Luckily Spider-Man made it to the scene before Joker attempted to wear Superman’s skin as a jogging outfit. In their short lived triumph he caught the three off guard and managed to haul Superman from the red light special planned for him. Near an open window the Earth’s sunlight revived Superman enough to mutter to Spidey to bring him outside under the sunlight. Too late, as a flipped switch shut the escape route for anybody with 250 lbs of dead weight. Despite Superman regaining his strength Spider-Man sensed danger all around as any Mysterio hideout would…..
Can Spider-Man help Superman escape or hold off the villains long enough for him to save himself?
Will Superman have to save Spidey with him facing three albeit not powerful but still effective, clever and diabolical in their methods?
Could Mysterio, Riddler and the Joker take down the “Team-Up of The Century”?
Wouldn’t this hideout be amalgamated too and would that make it even or less deadly to be in?
Even if spider-Man makes it out alive how’s he going to take the news of Harry, Aunt May and the others?
Who would “stomp”?
How and why?
