yes, dont read the dynamite one. its screwed up the character something fierce. goldkey is excellent reading, so is valiant.

@jigen879: Dynamite issues are not bad but that's not the solar you might be interested in because his power gets absorbed by his daughter and it's her story.

Valiant run of solar is good. Next would be the run from Acclaim universe though it slowly beaches into story about the Seleski teens where you barely get to see the solar you might be interested in. Dark Horse version is good but it was short lived.

A lot about the character has changed as the character has gone from one publisher to another. Only Valiant and Acclaim are in continuity with each other. Rest are only in continuitu to their respective comic book universe, for example gold key, dynamite or Dark Horse. They are not in continuity with each other.

@jigen879: yes, they are excellent reads if you like powerful characters, trust me stay away from that dynamite garbage.

I would say find all you can, read them all and enjoy (even the bad stories lend some insight on a character)
