Now we've gotten 5 Spider-Man films released in total, with TASM3 slated for a 2016 release dates, I ask the question; what do you think is the best Spider-Man movie? Mine is personally TASM - loved the cast, the dialogue, tone, atmosphere and score - and it's the best depiction of Peter Parker - and the wit was great too. So, what's your favourite Spidey film? Share your opinions below!
So, what's the best Spider-Man film?
Until I have watched Spider-man 2 Its either The Amazing Spider man 2 or 1 for me don't really feel like re-watching Both and giving a thorough review
Tobey maguire spiderman excluding spiderman 3. Origin is better, peter/harry relationship is better. Action was just as good. Peter/curt connors relationship I prefered. uncle ben and aunt may were better. Green goblin was better, doc ock was pretty awesome way better then that lame electro. And can't forget Jameson. I would suggest rewatching those two movies.
Edit: Parker cant start off being kinda cool before he gets his powers.
Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man, the original.

Spider-Man 2
Reasons?
Spider-Man 2 is far ahead of the others. ASM2 and Spider-Man 1 are runners up in the distance
Reasons?
Amazing Spiderman 2
All other opinions are null and void regardless of what anyone says!
Reasons? Oh, and TASM2 is a damn good film! I don't really understand the hate! I mean, yeah, surely, it was unfocused but it was still great in it's own rights.

Eh... I've rewatched a chunk and they aren't very good. I personally liked Dane's Goblin much more then Dafoe's. Dafoe did much more - but Dane's acting was superb and... you know what? He literally scares me.

Spider-Man, the original.
It's a classic origin story. It has the best Spiderman villain Green Goblin. And it has James Franco.
@themetalgearzero: I thought they were much better watched them just a few weeks ago. To each his own I guess.
To add to my last post the originals actually had Norman Osborn as a character for longer than 5 minutes.
ASM2
TASM2's really good. Reasons?

TASM2 didn't need Norman; I think I'm fine with Harry.
Spider-Man 2. But because I'm badass I'm going to go the extra mile I'm going to list them from best to worst.

Hm... interesting list.
@themetalgearzero: I'm not a big fan of the reboot ones. The first one was alright... however the second film was so boring I almost wanted to leave. I don't have a problem if anyone else likes them... but I couldn't get into it. THE RHINO WAS A WASTE OF TIME!
Amazing Spiderman 2

Booyah!
People complain about "The shifting tone". But that's what Spiderman is, he goes through crap every day but he still makes his quips.
-Garfield killed it as Peter Parker AND Spider-Man, unlike Maguire
-Great effects
-Good villain
-I love Dehaan's Goblin
-Gwen Stacy and her fate was very well done
-Nice set up for future films

I don't care whether the story needed him or not. He just too good a character to just throw out IMO. Still prefer james franco. Better motives, didn't make sense why peter wouldnt help harry in asm2. He was going to die anyhow I'd take the chance if my blood could possible save him he didn't know if he would turn into a monster or not. He doesnt even find out it would only work with his blood after lol... made no sense.

Spider-Man
The Amazing Spider-Man
The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man 3.
I would agree with this.
@strangetales: Spider-Man 2 - Great Innocent Movie. Watched and Loved it as a Kid. Great action, story and characters.
Spider-Man - Great Origin, Action isn't the best however it's still passable. William Dafoe is the best villain the series has ever had. ARGUE WITH THAT!
The Amazing Spider-Man - Meh. It's alright. Nothing special. I liked the romance. However the Director used to direct Romance movies so it's not really fair to give him that.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Kinda Crap. Just used to set up the next movie and make it so that Sony can make as many sequels as possible. Villains were terrible after awhile with Rhino being shoehorned in to create hype. He won't do anything in the next movie either.
Spider-Man 3 -
Lol. I just rewatched that Dance Scene and it made me laugh... which is more then I can say for ASM2.
LOL that pretty much sums up spiderman 3 for me... The scene when he goes emo and pulls his hair down infront of his face, I was done with the movie. Sandman was good Eddie Brock was terrible.
Awesome reasons!
The Amazing Spider-man.
Reasons?
Spider-Man 2 - Great battle scenes with Doc Ock. Best of all the movies for sure. Nice story from beginning to end with Peter questioning his purpose. Good dialogue and some really heart felt moments make it the best of the five Spidey movies so far.
Nice write up!
ASM2

I would agree with this.
He just isn't required for the plot; the studio should tell new stories. No one complained about the lack of Gwen in the SM trilogy (she played a minor role in SM3).
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is the best... The pacing was a little off at times, there was a couple of kinda boring scenes in there, but overall it is the best one I think. The first Amazing Spider-Man comes second. I never liked the Sam Raimi's trilogy, it was too much soap opera... I get it that the relationships are a part of Spider-Man comics, and I know that TASM1 and 2 also had those relationships, but they were not centered around them. The ASM movies are still mainly focused on Spider-Man himself, and that's really important.
Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man

The only thing I was add is there is a large margin between Spiderman and The Amazing Spiderman.

Spiderman for me. Spiderman and Batman Begins are my favorite origins.
Spiderman and TDK have the best endings in CBM.
Spiderman is, arguably, my go-to Superhero movie...and I don't even like Spider-Man.
@themetalgearzero: Because reasons:
I dont know, Im not some professional critic. It was entertaining, it was dramatic, i can believe that what im watching is Spiderman.
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 did the comic books a little more justice. There was a fun yet serious tone to the film. The new spider-man movies did it right. Unlike the original 3 they didn't cop out and have every single villain somehow kill themselves. Be that as it may, the original Spider-man 2 with Doc Oc will always hold a place in my heart.
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 was definitely the best by far in my opinion. It was a fun yet dark tone to the film. It did the comics a little more justice.

You, my friend... I agree with everything you said.
Spider-Man 2 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Awesome! Someone who likes both the new films and the originals ^^
1. Spider-man 2
2. Spider-man
3. The Amazing Spider-man 2
4. Spider-man 3
5. The Amazing Spider-man
Curious; what's your beef with TASM?
The Amazing Spider-man.
THANK YOU! So how much would you rate from a scale of 1-10 - with 10 being best and 1 being worst?
