So is Deadpool finally going to die?

So I just saw Marvel recently update that they plan to kill Deadpool come April. Thoughts? Imo, I say it's about time. His immortality bit has made him a little overrated, in regards to character battles anyways. I'd say it's probably Marvel giving Fox the finger again

I'm hoping its just going to turn out as a joking reference to the whole "Death of Wolverine" circus.

Wade fights a heroic battle, loses, dies, then comes back next month.

He'll be back sooner or later.

There will be an omnibus dedicated to it in 2016. I predict seven four-issue series leading up to it, then eleven one shots after the 12 issue funeral where everyone gets to talk about Wade and share never before known anecdotes of the wacky Canadian.

Eh, it's better that they follow through with it. Deadpool's become pretty obnoxious in recent years to anyone who's not a DP fan. Finally killing him would be something different for once, though like I said it probably has something to do with Fox. No more Fantastic Four books, killing Wolverine, supposedly changing Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver's origins, and now killing Deadpool. To me it looks like Marvel's really taking it to Fox lol

You should give the Deadpool arc "The Good, the Bad & the Ugly" a look. It was some pretty heavy stuff from the Merc with the mouth.

He does come across as painful in the crossovers they shoehorn him and all the other cash cows in (RIP Logan, our wallets will miss you). But they've been taking him into some pretty serious and deep stuff lately.

That being said, I would be pretty sad if all that character improvement was written off because someone in Marvel Marketing thinks 'killing them off makes the moneys!"

Deadpool is the only thing keeping me reading Marvel.

Dont take that to seriously i mean deadpool is a huge character for Marvel in the last five years he got more publicity than almost any other Marvel character,Marvel knows they make serious money off him so he's not going anywhere.

He'll die for a while, but will get a revival when his movie is near release.

I think it's dumb. Just like how DC killing Lobo is dumb, since the afterlife won't accept him.

It won't bother me if he goes away for a bit. Overexposure is ruining the character, much like it did Wolverine.

By death I don't mean permanently, since we already know they come back, however I'm talking about finally getting rid of the curse. Not being able to die isn't Deadpool's "thing", it's just a curse he has. Curses can be broken. Spazz, being popular means you're more likely to die because it'll catch people's attention. If they killed off some nobody then no one would care
