The original?

You mean with Juggernaut, Siana Blaze, Reaper, and three others from the Ultraverse shortly after Marvel bought the Malibu, the company that had created the Ultraverse?

Quite possibly. I find Claremont's writing to be equally cheesy and boring, so I certainly didn't enjoy what I read of it.

I don't think Clairmont is the original writer of either version (The Marvel/ Ultraverse verions or the strictly Marvel version).

I think it was heavily inspired and influenced by the "Cross Time Caper" story that appeared in the first Excalibur series.
