smallvile good or bad?

does this show stay almost true to the idea of superman or is it a lame and stupid Hollywood idea.

Its pretty good but a little predictable at times.  EDIT: Make that REALLY predictable.

Me and my friends made up a pretty good drinking game for it once.

The show is pretty awful, I've been trying to watch it, and I can't stand it

I watch it now and than, I am not a big fan but it is okay. I really wish the Aquaman show happened though I think I would of enjoyed watching that.

its pretty enjoyable for me, as long as what you take it for what it is, an alternate superman origin, then you should enjoy it, don't expect it to fit general comics canon superman however, as it does not do that

i agree. I love superman and i love this show. I own every season and record every episode to make sure i dont miss one.like nightwolf said it is good but take it as an alternate superman origins. I wish they could write chloe in to the comics."

in my opinion, the Aquaman show had far more potential than Smallville doesM"

Supergirl should never have happened in Smallville... it makes no sense to any continuity, movies, tv shows, books or comics...

It's horrible!

there are a few things that they messed up BIG TIME on like clark NOT USING GLASSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i mean come on how in the name of all thats holy do you not have him wear GLASSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its stupid as dumb as DUKE not being blond in the GI JOE movie

It would've been nice if they'd kept origin mythos out of it, but they didn't. Only sucks when they attempt to make it seem like Supes' show. Though I love OC Chloe, still despise their portrayals of their so called iconics.

Smallville had huge potential but it became a terrible show. Superman is mostly lame, he should go back to his roots when his personality wasn't so annoying, when he dated girls. He is also over-powered and needs to go back to the more powerful than a locomotive and able to leap tall buildings roots. There are many reasons modern Superman character sucks I gave many my reasons in the Superman thread. Smallville could have been great but they got caught up into too much drama, too much Lana. I thought John Schneider was great but then the producers/writers killed him off and replaced him with Lois, who must be one of the worst Lois Lanes I've ever seen.

I like it and look forward to it every week!  I like when they bring DC characters to life on the show because I like to see how close they are to the comic!  I admit it has flaws but what doesn't!  Atleast we have a show on prime time and it is alot better than 75% of the garbage that is on TV.  I agree it isn't 100% accurate but just consider it Earth 4567 or  whatever!
