What?... What destiny? It wasn't anymore convulted then Batman Begins.
Thing is Batman and Spider-Man are not equals, by any means whatsoever. Batman's origin is simple and thats how I like it. Put a spin on sure I don't care. But Peter Parker being the angry teen with mysterious parents who knew the enemies years before and everything was up to fate. Its just dumb.
I never watched the first one but I went to go see the 2nd one.
The first was even worse imho.
I honestly wanna see it just to give the franchise a chance even after the bummer that was the sequel.... I'll get around to seeing it someday... maybe
The Organic webbing was just nasty, like something out of a Cronenberg movie, and it made absolutely no sense whatsoever (Spiders do not fire webbing out of their legs). Webshooters showed Pete's ingenuity, they also add drama to battles when they brake or run out of webfluid. Other than that I never particularly like changes from the source material when they serve no purpose anyway.

Webshooters.

Well - now that we're out of that - let's move onto our next segment: Battle of The Week: SM2's Train Sequence vs. TASM2's Clock tower Sequence!:
Which battle did you find more gripping? Which one did you enjoy more? Which one was more intense? Vote away, leave arguments and reasons for your chosen opinion, and have fun!! But this time a-round, whoever reaches 11votes is the winner! Vote away:
Why? Because it's much more intense - the sheer intensity and action the clock tower sequence was just... gosh, it was gripping - I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. And with Gwen hanging in their, it just added to the intensity. And don't get me wrong, I love the train sequence, SM2 is my childhood film - but because the Clocktower Sequence was in a closed area - so you could feel the urgency of every single move, attack and dodge!
Train sequence by a mile, the Clock fight was ruined in the trailers. Also the fight was like 2 minutes and Green Goblin didn't even seem like a threat. My vote easily goes to Train Fight scene
@thor_parker82: No - it only includes the Goblin vs. Spidey sequence in the Clocktower - nothing with Electro, unless eventually, we'll probably have that.
@themetalgearzero: I need to ask something again, haha, Does the sequences only include the battles or also the consequences that the battle leaves ? I am asking that because if it´s just the battle, the action was better in the train sequence, but if it also includes the consequences, the clock tower sequence was more intense and important to Peter.
The train sequence in SM2 was definitely action-packed and pretty great but the Clock tower sequence was more impactful with the death of Gwen and the action by Garfield at the end with Gwen's death was just perfect. It's a close one, but for me the edge is given to TASM2's clock tower sequence. Now if the Electro fight is also included then TASM2 for sure wins, the visuals and fight sequence was fantastic!
Clock tower sequence. Although it's action wasn't on par with the action of the train sequence. It had a lot more of an effect on the watcher. There was so much drama about if he could keep her alive while staving off his own death. I shed a tear after that scene.
Although TASM2's Clock Tower was intense, and truly packed a punch... we just had to give it to SM2's Train Sequence - that was utterly brilliant. The action, choreography, cinematography, effects and visuals were all well crafted aspects in the Train Sequence and simply put... it's just much more memorable. You, the voters, voted for the Train Sequence over the Clock Tower sequence... this wasn't even a close call:

Thanks for voting guys - now, for the next round, it's... Venom (SM3) VS. Green Goblin (TASM2)!:
Both character's were introduced early in the film, both character's despised Spidey and were seeking revenge, both didn't become antagonists till the near end... and both killed a primary character. Although Norman Osborn is the original Green Goblin, and was first introduced in ASM#14 (read it, it's an old yet fun issue), yet in TASM2... Green Goblin was adapted - but was Harry Osborn instead of Norman.
SM3 introduced Topher Grace's Eddie Brock, who appeared early in the movie - although Eddie Brock is somewhat of a tough guy in the comic books, the character was remodelled here - for better or worst.
Well... which villain did you like more? Who ever reaches 10 votes is the winner. Vote away, and don't forget to include reasons!
