What is the single best performance as a superhero in a comic book film in your opinion? For me it's either Chris Evans as Cap in TWS or Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man in ASM2.

Robert Downey Jr. and Heath Ledger (though though he is a villain)

Chloe Moretz (Hit-Girl) - Kick-Ass

Being the huge fan of Hit-Girl and Chloe that I am, I definitely agree with this. Easily the most bad-ass superhero ever.

Wesley snipes as blade.

#37 Posted by Maximizer (136 posts) - - Show Bio

RDJ.

He gets unnecessary flak for "playing himself". Lol, that's the point of his awesome performance.

Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk

How exactly does Ruffalo contribute at all to Hulk's success as a character lol? It's just CGI, a loose interpretation of his facial features, and likely not even his voice. Do you mean Banner?

Oh and people need to stop with the lists, he asked for what we consider the "best."

For me, it's a tie between Ledger's joker, Jackman's Wolverine, and why not... Cavill's Superman...he's just so damn handsome ( a real tributary to Reeves )

@papinacho: Awe, true that. I thought Norton was very good though as well. Apparently he actually added to the script of Incredible Hulk, which translated to roughly 20-30 extra minutes of film time, but the studio executives decided to cut it out of the film ( it'd been apparently filmed as well ). He reacted accordingly, I think that's why he didn't get the part. I like ruffalo, he lacks for confidence in an interesting way. Vulnerable.....but SO not :D. I wanna see a Hulk, Ironman teamup.

I thought RDJ was a great Iron Man. Btw who looks more like Superman: Brandon Routh or Henry Cavill?

For Me Personally, Wesley Snipes as Blade, Michael Jai White as SPAWN, Famke Jansen as Dark Phoenix, and The Actor whose Name escapes me for now whom played Dr.Strange in the 1977/78 Live-Action Television Movie, I saw that as an 8-year old and I really Loved it, I even have that VHS DVD somewhere in my stuff. (:) p.s., but there have been tons of other great character actors whom portrayed these Super Heroes magnificently. :()

Halle berry as storm! She owned tht role! I mean u do remember the lightning speech she gave toad right!? Hahahaha no but really Andrew Garfield. He did good in first one but after watching the second one... He killed it. Just like I remember in the comics. He was makin those cheesy jokes while fighting and having fun with it but then when he got serious u could feel it! Always got his eyes teary and he jst pulled u in (for me anyways). Honorable mention Chris Evans Cap, Hugh is wolverine at this point, Gwen Stacy... may not be a superhero but she did help save the day and Emma killed tht role in the newest spiderman.... no pun intended lol

Michael Fassbender crushed it as Magneto in X-men: First Class. I think I would give my vote to him

#48 Posted by Jack_ (1806 posts) - - Show Bio

In my opinion, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark.

Runner-up: Patrick Stewart as Professor X.

Third place: Hugh Jackman as Wolverine

Honorable mention: Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. If I recall correctly, ultimate Nick's appearance was based in the comics on Samuel L. Jackson. Then, SLJ plays him in a movie. Coincidence? I think NOT!
