I brought a copy of Amazing Spider-Man #700, so I could get it signed by Dan Slott at a comic convention I am going to. But now I am not so sure. I don't mind not getting it signed, I collect Amazing Spider-Man anyway. If you have an opinion, please explain.
Signings, Yes or No?
I love getting comics and books signed by their creators.Despite making the switch to digital, I bought the RASL hardcover recently because Jeff Smith was doing a signing.
I say get your copy of Amazing Spider-Man 700 signed by Dan Slott. He's such a nice guy in person that you'll be happier for having met him. I speak from experience. My copy of ASM 700 is signed by him.
@impossibilly: Thanks, I think I might get it signed now.
Interacting with creators and getting your comics signed/sketched is nice. Dunno why someone wouldn't like it.

Shitty signatures? I dunno...I agree with you, so I'm trying to come up with an answer :P
Get two copies; one to be signed and one not signed. Technically signatures by artists, writers etc unless they're officially documented are nothing more than vandalism on the cover. But as a fan who doesn't want your favourites signature upon your favourite comic.
Get two and over time you will see which is worth more. But it is your comic :)
