If you do, give reasons why. If you don't ,give reasons why
should wolverine and spider man be in avengers 2?
Never Never Never Never Never Never Never Never Never Never Never Never Never Never.
And not just for the rights. There're are so many characters they can include, but they shouldn't choose the ones that were recruited in the Modern Age. They should focus on lesser known characters that can't make a large name of their own.
Well A. Fox and Sony still own them so it won't happen and B. No because I never liked Wolverine or Spider-man as Avengers.
No. Spider-Man does best as a solo character and Wolverine is best as an X-Men character. Can't happen anyway due to movie rights as people have stated.
Even if Marvel did have the rights to them, I still wouldn't want it to happen. There's only so many characters that can be put together in a film, and their inclusion would push out more classic Avengers who don't have the opportunity to be in a solo or X-Men film.
@joshmightbe: they could form a partnership
No, because 1) Fox and Sony still have the rights to Wolverine and Spider-Man and 2) It wouldn't be fair to the other Avengers characters who haven't made it to the big screen yet and to be replaced by characters who are already well known in the movie universe.

This.

Never gonna happen. Ever.

this
No, just because I never want Disney to own movie rights of Wolverine
Oh god I'm imagining a watered down Wolverine now. It's terrible.
First we need Hank Pym,Wasp and Black Panther and then Spider-Man and Logan can be included.
this
No, because they're not really Avengers. Spider-man has had very short stints as a reserve member, and Wolverine is only on the team now because the new Marvel directive demands he be in every comic... all the time.
He was a New Avenger for quite a while before being on the main team full time.
I think the characters that should be in the Avengers movies should be the characters you think of first when you think "Avengers". After the ones from the first Avengers movie I think Scarlet Witch, Vision, Hank Pym, Wasp, Black Panther, Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk should be the next ones introduced.
Call me an old timer but no becuz u can't have an avengers team that has scarlet witch quicksilver wolverine and spider man all in team before ant-man and wasp. I still dislike that they had Blackwidow and hawkeye in the team before 2 of the original founding members. But I would rather have spidey and wolverine in some kind of new avengers film.
@jedixman: how do you know that? I'm pretty sure people said Namco and capcom would never work together, and look what happened. Street fighter x tekken. If they can work together, so can Fox and Disney
@havenless: whatchoo talkin' about? Cap didn't recruit him as a reserve, did he?

Because it's how copyright and contracts work.
Marvel does not own the rights to these characters for movies. If they were in the Avengers, that essentially means that Fox and Sony would have to give the rights back to Marvel, which they are not likely to do anytime soon.
It's not about "working together." It's not that simple. It's about licensing and copyrights.
@jedixman: how would putting Logan and spider man in the avengers entail giving the rights back to marvel? Please note: I'm not an expert on licensing or copyrights so please forgive my lack of understanding

Fox currently owns the movie rights to the X-Men and Fantastic Four. Sony currently owns the movie rights to Spider-Man. Marvel / Disney owns everything else (except for a few movies that I can't recall).
If Fox allows Marvel to put Wolverine in the Avengers, then they are essentially "giving" the rights to put the character in a movie. There's no borrowing / loaning of rights in contracts.
Now, if Marvel gave Fox the rights to the Avengers, that's essentially "giving" Fox the rights to Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Cap, etc.
They've come across conflicts like this before. This is why the aliens in the Avengers were not called Skrulls - because Fox owns the rights to the Skrulls, because they are affiliates of the F4.
Personally I think it would be great because they are marvel characters and should be owned by marvel. The success of the avengers just demonstrates that no one knows their characters like them. (I know they are owned by Disney but the point still stands.) Plus it is great to see a bigger avengers roster and in my opinion Sony and fox haven't really done much good with the characters. They are marvels biggest superheroes and so should be in their biggest superhero team.

Wolverine has been on the New Avengers before. So............
I'm talking the grand scheme of things. Avengers is a 50 year old comic. So characters who have been on the team since the 60's and 70's should get dropped for guys who pull in more dough, even though they have like 4 total years as a regular?
@havenless: I do think earlier member should be priority. I was just saying that Spider-Man has been on the team longer than it seemed you were suggesting.
