Should Wal-Mart start selling Marvel, DC, and other comics?

Absolutely they should. The comic industry will die without new blood. Department stores and drug stores are where most people gained their love for comics not comic shops. Comic shops are mainly only visited by those who already buy comics. The first comics I ever owned came from Walmarts or Targets or Toys R Us stores. Obviously what they would sell would be more limited, but they should sell something. Obviously this is on the comics publishers to push, not stores like Walmart to decide on their own that they need.

when i started reading comics Wal-Mart sold marvel 2,3, or 4 issue sets usually containing a short arc. these packs helped me get into comics and learn new characters.

That would be cool. I buy digital, but I'd probably pick up a few comic books if I saw them at Wal-mart. I'm indifferent towards comic book shops anyway. I couldn't care less if they went out of business.
