Samurai Jack, born on cartoon network, buried on toonami, was secretly inducted in DC Comics in between those times with all of 1 comic published by DC on the fourth of July, 2004.

Unfortunately it never lifted off due to epic failure that was the The Powerpuff Girls Movie and the series creatorGenndy Tartakovsky's booting from Cartoon Network, resulting in all of his hit show's untimely cancellations including Samurai Jack two years prior. In February of 2013, IDW Publishing announced a partnership with Cartoon Network to produce comics based on its properties. Samurai Jack was one of the titles announced to be published. It was further announced at WonderCon 2013 that the first issue of Samurai Jack will debut in October 2013. In my opinion, DC should partner up for a crossover and possibly integrate Samurai Jack into the New 52 Universe. I know it's been nearly a decade since they even thought about the character, but he still is considered a DC character none the less. What do you guys think, should the lone samurai resurface in the New 52 Universe or should IDW continue the franchise without the DC label on the cover?

I don't see him as a character in the DC universe. I like him just having a stand alone verse.

He has a series debuting this October.

Think it's a little late to try and put him down now.

Can't see him properly adapt in the New 52.It would be good if he only has his own universe.

Maybe this could work ONLY if they do it to resolve the unfinished storyline. If they continue Jack's story further than that I can't say I'd be happy with IDW. Jack needs to defeat Aku and get back to his timeline. After that it should be done.

Is your statement based on preference? Perhaps future problems with sales? Crossover problems (which is completely understandable, most crossovers flop)? Just curious, cus I also enjoy the idea of his own exclusive series rather than in DC since I don't know where he'd fit in or who he'd interact with (my greatest fear being him paired with or against Batman, Karate Kid vs Batman all over again).

He may turn into another Karate Kid, other than that, why not.

i could see him in dc but they would def have to change his animation to make it less cartoonish. His toon feats are pretty awesome. I could kinda see him like a dc version of ironfist
