Samurai Jack, born on cartoon network, buried on toonami, was secretly inducted in DC Comics in between those times with all of 1 comic published by DC on the fourth of July, 2004.
Unfortunately it never lifted off due to epic failure that was the The Powerpuff Girls Movie and the series creatorGenndy Tartakovsky's booting from Cartoon Network, resulting in all of his hit show's untimely cancellations including Samurai Jack two years prior. In February of 2013, IDW Publishing announced a partnership with Cartoon Network to produce comics based on its properties. Samurai Jack was one of the titles announced to be published. It was further announced at WonderCon 2013 that the first issue of Samurai Jack will debut in October 2013. In my opinion, DC should partner up for a crossover and possibly integrate Samurai Jack into the New 52 Universe. I know it's been nearly a decade since they even thought about the character, but he still is considered a DC character none the less. What do you guys think, should the lone samurai resurface in the New 52 Universe or should IDW continue the franchise without the DC label on the cover?
