Sentinel Revealed

Well X-Fans here it is the the full scale of what the sentinels will look like in the X-Men movie,

X-Men: Days of Future Past! What do you guys think like it or not?

Im a bit disappointed. It should at least look intimidating.

I'm just happy they are given us Something. And I think if I rolled up on this thing in the middle of the Night. I would be intimidated. Lol

They could fix that in post production.

According to the web site those are basically just the early model and they'll be bringing a superior model that hasn't been revealed yet.

Not intimidating?? It has a mini gun for a hand,lol.

Why would they look intimidating anyways? They are supposed to be guarding humanity, you don't see cops walking around with armor or frightening masks or anything like that.

...I don't like it.

Assuming that nobody considers themselves the "badguys", there have still been a lot of cultures that made their warriors frightening. Like Samurai for example.

Its Last Stands fault for taking the good design.

I would think Trask Industries would actively consider themselves the 'good guys', seeking out and capturing mutants before they can kill people, both for their own good and the good of humanity. So it would make sense if they design them not to be actively intimidating: They don't want mutants to be afraid of them, they want them to surrender peacefully for the greater good.

Plus if they're really intimidating, there's the risk normal humans will sympathize with the mutants plight of being hunted, and try to help them. For example:

Here's an example of an intimidating Sentinel warning: "SURRENDER NOW OR WE WILL FIRE."

Here's an example of less intimidating Sentinel: "SURRENDER NOW OR WE WILL BE FORCED TO OPEN FIRE."

The former is more aggressive and confrontational, while the latter puts it more on the mutant for what happens, which would make them a bit more unsympathetic to the populace.

It could have looked a little more intimidating but i think the design is great none the less ik it took em quite sum time to make them wonder how many they're are

Its not gonna look like that in the film. Every costume looks cheesey in the reveal picture. It looks like vaccuum parts right now lol

I like it, but I don't really like the weird chest piece
