Why have we only heard news and announcements about the "second" film?

It makes sense if it is true

-They need to introduce Batman.

-Batman and Superman need to fight, as per the title.

-We know Lex Luthor is hanging around.

-Batman and Superman are obviously going to have a common enemy in Luthor.

-"Enter the Knight" can be Batman at odds with Superman. "Dawn of Justice" can be Batman and Superman teaming up.

With movie announcements being made years in advance, I doubt they wouldn't have been advertising a movie coming out this year.

To be fair though I don't think anything by DC or Warner Bro's has been officially confirmed its all been pretty much leaked as far as my knowledge goes.

Highly likely that's a photoshop. Besides, we heard straight from the horses mouth that the only film that will be split into two parts is Justice League.

I don't think it's true, but I wouldn't be against it. It'd be a brilliant marketing ploy to have everybody think it's coming in 2016, drop a trailer that just ends in, 'Coming 2015', people would lose their sh*t. It'd be the best marketing ploy in cinema history in my opinion.
