Writer: Gerry Duggan and Brian Posehn

Artist: Scott Koblish

Colorist: Val Staples

Publication Date: Sept. 10, 2014

Summary:

The issue is set in the 1990s and centers around revealing Deadpool's big "original sin," has to do with his parents, his role as an assassin, and how he took the news of being a father.

What I Liked

✔Great humor as usual

✔Very interesting story and plot

✔Outstanding character development with Deadpool

✔Loved the cheesy throwback artwork

What I Didn’t Like

✘Some of the panels were too busy and it was hard to tell what was going on

✘Would like to have seen the reluctance of D.P. being a dad explained a bit further

Themes:

  • Big life changes like fatherhood can be scary and reveal inadequacies in ourselves

  • We've all done big things in our past we regret

Score: 8.5/10

Great book overall. Thoughts?
