Hey All,
One thing comic fans can't deny is certain series read better in trade (see: anything by Grant Morrison, Scott Snyder's Batman, etc.). But, what I'm wondering is if there are any comics that read worse in trade. Basically, are there any series that seem good month-to-month, but when read in one shot don't work?
Off the top of my head, the only one I can think of is Detective Comics by Tony S. Daniel. When I read the issues alone, they seemed pretty decent, but when read as a set I could very easily see the flaws in the story and how slow paced it was.
Can you all think of any examples?
