Make Sure It Is a Battle

The battle forum is for actual fights between characters. Things like 'who has the coolest power' or 'who gets the most chicks' ARE NOT BATTLES. Just because you put 'vs' in the title, does not automatically make it battle forum worthy. They should be placed in general discussion or in off-topic (depending on what they're about). As well, fights with characters who are not comic book or manga characters or haven't featured predominantly in comic books or manga (Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris, Barney Stinson vs Joey Tribbian etc) do not belong in the battle forum, either.

This has been discussed between the battle forum mods a bit. These are guidelines for what does and does not constitute a battle.

• Who Can Beat _____? - These are not battles and should be placed in that characters forum from this point forward. If they aren't and a mod notices, they'll be moved.
• Power vs Power - Things like Optic Blast vs Heat Vision are not battles and will be moved to the appropriate forum from now on.
• Item vs Item - Things like Mjolnir vs Captain America's Shield are not battles and will be moved to the appropriate forum from now on.
• Can ___ Do ____? - Things like 'Can Wolverine's Claws Cut Cap's Shield' or "Can Superman's Heat Vision

This is the Battles Forum. Battles are when characters fight. No Characters are fighting here.

It's basically "Power vs Power" which is SPECIFICALLY mentioned as not being Battle Forum worthy.

A Battle would be "Who would win in a fight?" not "Who has the most powerful energy attack?"

No. If I were a mod I'd have locked this myself because it is not a battle.

As it is, all I can do is point it out to the mods so that they can lock it because it is not a battle.

As an added bonus I get to have these little arguments with people that seem to take offence when I point out that a thread is in violation of the rules you were all supposed to have read already.

No you really didn't. But apparently actually reading the rules that I went to all the effort of actually posting here for you is too much effort. But Power vs Power threads do not meet the definition of what is considered a battle in this forum.

An this is not a power vs power thread indicating two power. There is only one power here energy projection an the hero's an villains are FIGHTING to conjure the most power energy projection to get the numba one spot.

Think of it like Baseball. Games are Battles. This is just comparing Batting Averages.

I know what you explained. The point is "a battle to be ranked numba 1" is not a battle.

For it to be considered a Battle the characters have to engage in actual combat. They are not engaging in combat here. Ergo, it is not a battle. That's not my rule. I didn't make it up. That's how this Website defines battles.You can read all about it here: Battle Forum Rules

Your inability to hear me does not come from any kind of altitude difference. You see, I'm not actually speaking to you. This is all text. Any voices you may have been hearing before now are only in your head. Also, when I said I was taking the high road...I was talking metaphorically...I haven't actually left my house. If you are out walking up a hill and complaining that you can't hear the voices any more...well, society tends to frown on such behaviour.

@thundergodswrath: Sinestro is definitely more or less on the level of Hal Jordan and right now he still has the Parallax entity so he should be far stronger than any Lantern.

I wasn't talking with it, but yeah more or less. Hal killed Krona and John destroyed a planet. Hence why they're high than the other lanterns. If Larfleeze was her he would be above them all.
