Quicksilver vs Bullets

Is Quicksilver faster than bullets? I'm obviously talking about comic Quicksilver, not the X-men one because that version was OP. It is stated Quicksilver is as fast as sound, but bullets move faster than sound. If someone shot you with a bullet, you would be hit first and then hear the sound. So, couldn't someone shoot Quicksilver and he would not be fast enough to react?

Why would the movies make him faster than his com counterpart ?

@kgb725: Because it is stated in the comics he is as fast as SOUND. Bullets are faster than sound, this is a well known fact. By using basic logic this implies that comic Quicksilver is slower than bullets. Comic Quicksilver = Sound < Bullets. In the movies I say he is faster than in the comics because he was running around the room and fooling around, not even worrying about stopping the bullets. By the logic I wrote above, Quicksilver should not have been able to stop the bullets at all.

I think that that differs from whatever version of Quicksilver being talked here...i remember seing a scan here on the vine, with Quicksilver making a big deal about out-pacing a arrow...more to the point, even some street-levelers have proven capable of doging bullets, actuallly, Cassandra Cain and Captain America have (literally) out-paced bullets.

Actually Quicksilver is over 1000 times faster than sound and there are rare occurrences where he goes faster than light.

Quicksilver can cross the planet in roughly 3 minutes. He is much faster than bullets.

He's currently faster. Also, he was always faster than the reaction speed of a human aiming & pulling a trigger - so even when he was as fast as sound, he's still faster than the person holding the gun.

Okay, so from what I understand: Quicksilver USED to be as fast as sound, meaning if someone shot a bullet at him and he could only move once the bullet was shot, he would be hit. However, apparently current Quicksilver is much much faster than bullets? Is this all correct?

depends on the gun. The average sniper goes 5 times faster than the handgun/rifle

QS is not FTL or close to lightspeed outside of outliers. He is however easily a multi mach speedster and has been since his inception. So yes, easily faster than bullets

@benoni123: but if you're running at the speed of sound you should definitley be able to dodge bullets with ease.
