Proof Cell is a solar system buster.

I really don't see a reason to doubt it

In a series that's literally aimed towards Young boys, things are going to be more straightforward

If toriyama has cell say he can destroy a solar system (and it's not contradicted), then he can. The only question is how he'll do it.

No clue what you're talking about as far as the Broly thing. But the Daizenshuu is the official Dragonball guidebook....if it says Cell can destroy a Solar system...he can destroy a solar system. I'm not going to get into a pointless argument over this. Either you accept it or you don't....Idc either way.

There is no overestimating or exaggeration in DBZ because they KNOW how strong an attack is and how much damage in can do by sensing how much ki an opponent of attack radiates.

The only proof of Cell being a solar system buster is his statement, plain and simple.

I think Toriyama planed on making him a solar system buster when he was going to stop the series at Cell, but changed his mind when he decided to continue the series. Why else would buu's attack only blow up the Earth? Why else would Whis say that if Beerus is angry he may even blow up the solar system?

not to mention cell being a solar system buster is even more of an outlier than roshi being a moon buster (however new information shows roshi is stronger than previously thought).

@alextheboss: Roshi was NEVER an outlier. People who claim that only either love to downplay DB character's power or they're too lazy to explain that, when it comes to scaling and a-b-c logic, he should be treated as an outlier because he could bust a moon with his level of power due to skill. It also required two special techniques.

if you go by this it isn't an outlier.

however if you really think Roshi is weaker than King Piccolo, it is an outlier.

King Piccolo was said to only be as strong as a small nuke in the Daizenshuu. Also his strongest attack only wiped out a city.

@theman44: Unless Cell magically knows exactly hoe much energy it takes to blow up a solar system then he was just bluffing. The solar system would be trillions of times harder to blow up than Earth, yet in the Cell vs Goku fight Cell was worried about Goku's kamehameha that could blow up the planet. Why would he worry about it if his kamehameha was billions or trillions of times stronger? The answer is it is either an inconsistency or Cell was bluffing.

Also you realize perfect cell fought goku. Super perfect cell was stronger and goku was dead at that time.

Another thing people bluff when they know they have no chance of winning. Cell was going to kill them all.

@alextheboss: remember cell was in space for a time so he also saw the solar system before he used insane transmission to come to Earth. As for beerus he doesn't act like its a big deal he's just agitated and needs something to take his anger out on king Kai did say beerus can destroy anything which include stars bunch bigger than our solar system. Amira toriama also confirms beerus to be able to destroy 1/5 the universe.

Also the daizenshuu doesn't have mistakes if it's in there it's real.

the only people who don't think cell's statement is an outlier are people who don't know the true size of the solar system.

@dbzk1999: He acts like it is an impressive feat, but it really shouldn't be if Cell can do it, unless the difference between Cell's power and Beerus' power isn't as big as people think. Beerus did have to use 10% of his power to beat an angry ssj2 Vegeta so maybe that is the case.

@alextheboss: cell can also sense the ki planets in the solar system since everything gives off ki. Using this he can judge the distance between the planets.

@theman44: only powerful ki can be sensed from far distances. this is proven in the manga. cell wouldn't be able to sense those planets because there would be no powerful ki coming from them.

WOAH completely wrong. The people who live on namek are weaklings. The strongest namekians on the planet had power levels less than Napa 3000- according to dadorias scouter.

There is also the fact that goku when charging his spirt bomb against Frieza utilized was made form the energy of the surrounding planets meaning goku could sense the planets.

@theman44: Namekians were on average stronger than saiyans. And Nail (the only warrior namekian) was as strong as the ginyu force members. The namekian race is one of the strongest known race in the galaxy.

Goku could sense the life on the planets, not the planet itself. Also those were the planets that were close by.

Blowing up a solar system is an outlier because it is trillions of times harder to destroy than a planet. It was a big deal when Goku's kamehameha had enough energy to destroy the planet, so unless you think it is normal for Cell's kamehameha to be trillions of times stronger than Goku's then it is an outlier.

When he used it against vegeta he even called on ki from the mountains non living things. Everything in dbz generates ki even planets which generate a large amount of ki.. So yea Goku can sense a planet since a planet can generate ki. Also the planets in the solar system aren't even that far away in dbz terms.

Namekians are not strong. Period. And you can't change the fact that Goku could sense dende ki from a different quadrant of the universe.

@theman44: Vegeta was just being an asshole, Raditz claimed he was an elite warrior. He was paired up with the prince of the saiyans, he obviously wasn't that weak. Not to mention he was one of the only saiyans who survived.

A power level of 3,000 is enough to destroy the moon easily.... Nail had a power level of 42,000. That is over twice as strong as Vegeta during the saiyan saga and Vegeta claimed he could blow up the Earth.

Goku could barely sense the z warriors' energy from Beerus' house. He really only sensed Frieza's ki.

You kind of disproved yourself cuz the z warriors had a higher power than nail during the movie. So if he couldn't sense the z warrior how could he sense nail or any other namek with nails level. You contradicted yourself

Did you watch resurrection f? The z warriors had to go full power for Goku to sense them and even then he sensed Frieza over them.

During cell saga to get Dende, although he had help from King Kai in which direction to look for the namek energy.

@jgames: yea but Goku still needed to sense the energy to get there and that's the point I'm trying to make. So if Goku can sense a planet lighthearted away from our solar system then cell should be able to sense the planets of our solar system

No planet besides Earth has known life on it, so how would Cell sense it? Like I said before Goku senses ki/life energy. A planet doesn't have that unless there is life on it.
