Production Starts for 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'

I can see Zola employing Crossbones and Batroc to get rid of Cap but having Natasha, Falcon and S.H.I.E.L.D probably backing him up makes things difficult so Zola's higher-ups send in Winter Soldier to handle it. If it goes something along those lines this is definitely gonna be a good movie

so excited...worried about such a big cast though (remember X-Men Origins: Wolverine) who is playing Crossbones?

This is the one phase 2 movie I'm really interested in. I don't know why, but I'm looking forward to it

As long as they change Cap's costume from the one used in Avengers.

It looks like we will indeed see Georges St-Pierre as Batroc. However, whether or not he'll be flipping around in purple tights and sporting a silly mustache has yet to be seen.

As a fellow French Canadian hailing from Montreal ... and as a huge MMA fan ... I'm both excited and concerned. While GSP is second to none in the welterweight division, a huge and well deserving MMA star, having seen plenty of interviews, commercials and even film cameos, I truly question his ability to act.

Here's hoping the director brings out the best (i.e. his fighting ability and charisma) and leaves the rest (i.e. anything to do with meaningful acting lines or awkward emotional displays). I hope I'm not left saying "I was not impressed with your performance" during the closing credits.

And props to whoever gets the reference.

The press release did mention his character's name ...

"In addition, film icon Robert Redford has joined the all-star cast as Agent Alexander Pierce, a senior leader within the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization."

Marvel says he's in an issue of Secret Warriors but I don't remember him.

Ahhh, so Amanda Righetti WAS playing Sharon Carter in the First Avenger toward the end of the film..at least according to the press release's revelation. Nice.

Emily VanCamp's got the Oscar in the bag this year.

In this case aiming high is better than aiming low. Looking forward to this!

Emily VanCamp really marvel can't find an actress less wraith thin to play sharon carter. This movie is starting to look a lot like spiderman 3.

Hopefully has a bigger and better impact that the first film, thought not bad, the first one didn't really wow me, or most, from what i've heard, and as someone else stated, the weakest of the second wave.

Looks like they're going with his Ultimate Marvel look, I even think Anthony Mackie let it slip in a tweet that he would be a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in the movie.

Since Baron Zemo will obviously be in this, they're setting up Masters of Evil. Not a movie, just villains for Avengers 3.

I personally hate it. I thought the Avengers one was fine all it needed was helmet tweaking. I personally don't like the ears showing but that's me.
