Is this how marvel ranks its current top tiers out of the 4? Just curious to what people say
Post retcon beyonder > sentry > post retcon MM > galactus
I really don't think Sentry is ahead of Galactus. At least I hope not.
Nate Grey once said that he and Sentry fought Galactus and won together.

Well, that was the two of them, as much as I hate Galactus being used as a jobber, that sounds about right. I'll just assume Galactus was starving.
@bflynn316: @greatcaesarsghost: They only fought galactus to a standstill it never said that they beat him, and this is all assuming that Nate Grey isn't lying about that whole thing. But on to your list, Galactus> beyonder> sentry > molecule man.
@bossdarksied355: post retcon beyonder is miles above galactus in a billionth of a second spidey with beyonders powers defeated galactus and remade creation
Sentry + X-Man = Galactus, apparently.
Remember: Sentry was not alone in that fight.
That was before Sentry knows the nature of his powers and before the death seed therapy (bye bye void). ^_^
@comicsrulebutdbzdoes2: When did this happen?
Galactus should be at the top of the food chain, as him and celestials are above cosmic cube beings.
Nate Grey and Sentry being able to stalemate galactus (only by assumption, not confirmed) logically does not put Sentry at or above galactus' level.

While true, this was when beyonder was most recently retconned as an inhman/mutant, meaning he has no connection to cosmic cubes or molecule man. This incarnation is obviously more powerful than galactus, sentry, PR/CC molecule man and PR/CC Beyonder.
@jay_z94: Marvel really flip flops quite a but on the power level of cubes. In GotG the Badoon used one cosmic cube to enslave all the Celestials still alive in the universe. Also Thanos used one to basically become God or Eternity. So there's really no clear answer as to how powerful cubes really are in relation to most cosmic/abstract level beings imo.
@comicsrulebutdbzdoes2: Good try, Sentry is nowhere near these guys... wtf?
Edit: Crap just saw this is like a year old.

That's true, but an actual cosmic cube is different to a cosmic cube being, in fact both pr beyonder and pr molecule man are one half each of a cosmic cube.

Not exactly. PR Beyonder and PR MM references their original Secret Wars and Secret Wars II incarnations, the whole Cosmic Cube mess came after.

Beyonder and molecule man's retcon was based around them both being an incomplete part of a cosmic cube. Before this retcon when they were all powerful beings, they had nothing to do with cosmic cubes.
@spambot: Actually the only thing Thanos did for certain was beat Kronos (featless IIRC) and put up his face in the sky, I cannot even find if Eternity appeared in those issues. True Marvel cannot make up its mind on where the cube stand, so far they have the best feats out of everyone under Eternity, it takes 5 to put Eternity in a coma and 30 are still weaker than the IG.
ON THE DISCUSSED TOPIC
There is evidence to infer that molecule man was weaker during the instance. http://www.comicvine.com/profile/owie/blog/molecule-mans-mental-state-during-his-battle-with-/108724/
Sentry being stronger than any of these people is idiotic, he has zero feats that would put him anywhere near Odin much less Galactus, either MM is weaker or it's PIS of the highest order, either way Sentry is not on par with cosmics.
@01100110: He didn't have any great feats with the cube the first time but its more based upon narrator statements regarding how powerful he was which seem to suggest he had become the most powerful being in the universe. Much like how people who wield the IG often don't get great feats and its just the narrator saying that they are now the equivalent of God in the MU.
@spambot: The narrator saying that, is not considered a feat, otherwise Odin would be omnipotent, Galactus uber-omnipotent and Eternity super-ultra-alpha-omega-omnipotent. The people wielding the IG are considered that powerful because the IG has plenty of feats to suggest that, as do cosmic cubes in fact. Thanos first showing with the cube wasn't particularly impressive, but the cubes have other greater showings.
@01100110: nah, its not the same thing. I understand what a feat is, what I am saying is when Odin gets called omnipotent its almost never by the narrator, its by Thor or someone near him. If a narrator states that someone is now the most powerful being in the universe then its basically to be taken as a fact. Granted that feats are what are mainly used in battles but narrator statements can still be taken to be true. Cubes do have one built in weakness which has to do with killing. Its mentioned in the Infinity Crusade but I don't feel like looking up the exact quotes regarding it.
More like:
Beyonder/Molecule Man >>> Galactus >>> Galactus's cosmic fart >>> Sentry.
This.
If Sentry and X-Man physically opposed Galactus, and Galactus physically opposed Sentry and X-Man, and their motivations and amount of energy generated and expended were all parallel and equal and then Sentry and X-Man conclusively won, and then this was reset and repeated dozens and dozens of times, then it could be fair to say Sentry and X-Man = or > Galactus.
Except thats not how fiction works or reality. It boggles my mind how people reach some of the conclusions they do. Context is extremely important, not just what motivates an individual or entity, not just the amount of energy they are willing to expend, not just how much power they can generate, there are many many variables that are important, even if we just assume the individuals/entities are real, but even more when we realize its fiction. Like what makes for an interesting story/conflict. Why haven't we seen Nate Grey and Sentry fight Galactus? Its because the writer of the story thought the story was more interesting to show Nate manipulate Sentry. If we had a Sentry and X-Man mini series and they fought Galactus in the final issue, what would happen? Why?
Also "Marvel" doesn't rigidly structure its characters the way some internet forum fans do, in fact most editors and writers when asked such questions, laugh, get annoyed, deflect or try to politely evade the question, or give disclaimers about their opinion so they don't look amateur.
