Poll: Who has the best rogues gallery in comics?

Superman or the X-Men.

Superman's got: Brainiac, Zod, Bizarro, Luthor, Doomsday, and Darkseid started out as his. All very very iconic, and those are just a few.

The X-Men ones while not as iconic I just think are fun and diverse. Some of my favorites are En Saba Nur, Magneto, Juggs, the Brotherhood, Dark Phoenix, occasionally the Shi'ar, Omega Red, the sentinels, and the brood.

Batman has better rouges than the rest of the characters mentioned combined XD literally all the best villains are batman villians. Might be because they are already written expertly but still they're so great.

It's Batman without a doubt....

I will give a top 4 in no particular order
Batman - Joker, Poison Ivy, Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman, Hush, Mr. Freeze, Bane.......
Spider-Man - Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Venom, Kingpin, Electro, Hydroman, Carnage.......
Superman - Brainiac, Zod, Doomsday, Darkseid, Bizarro, Parasite, Lex Luthor......
X-Men - Apocalypse, Sinister, Mystique, Juggernaut, Magneto, Lady Deathstrike, Omega Red....

5th is tougher either Green Lantern for more modern villains or Fantastic Four for more classic villains

Lady Deathstrike and Omega Red is closer being Wolverine villains than X-Men villains. And since when has Juggernaut been other than muscle? I have yet to see a story where his own master plan. In that sense he make more sense as an villain for Hulk.

...shall I keep going? Stan Lee's run on F4 is his best run ever and the things he introduced, specifically the villains have had universal ramifications, to this day.

Right Joker is at least equal to all of those combined then you have riddler, two-face, clayface, scarecrow, hush, Ra's al Ghul, Bane etc. just because they have super powerful villains doesn't make the gallery better, in any case it makes them boring.

No, Joker isn't equal to all of them combined. Doom is easily Joker's equal by himself. Both of them are 2/4 most iconic villains ever. Even if you think one is better than the other, neither outclass each other.

The relationship between Batman and Joker is the greatest of all comics. It has spanned for 74 years, longer than the fantastic four have existed. Seriously 3 different media sources you should view to get a small glimpse of Jokers brilliant character:

The Killing Joke. One of the best comics in existence

The final cutscene from arkham origins. The concept of Cain and Able

The Dark Knight. The best comicbook based film by a longshot. Don't even argue for the avengers, there was no plot in that film whatsoever, good film but more action film than comic. The emotion was not there and it lacked a Heath Ledger scale performance.

I think its funny you think I don't know who the Joker is. I own and have read the Killing Joke multiple times and The Dark Knight to me is easily the greatest comic film of all time. And is one of the greatest films of all time period. The film is responsible for me getting into western comics. I don't know if you're implying I'm biased to Marvel with your little Avengers comment, but I'm not. I'm not biased to anything but great material.

Unfortunately for you, I am capable of forming my own opinions. And you're underselling F4's rogues. They cover everything. Their rogues house: multiple of the greatest villains of all times, that regularly fight the entire roster of characters of marvel's entire universe. It has nothing to do with power. It has to do with how much story has come because of them. They even have multiple rogues who are now heroes.

Those rogues have defined the Marvel universe for 50 years. That cannot be undersold.

If they're heroes they're not rouges are they! And when has any of those "rouges" competed with the Batman/Joker complex? The answer is never because no hero/villain complex has been crafted as well.

my top 5 villains is:

1. Sinestro
2. Joker
3. Magneto
4. Lex Luthor

So I really wouldn't say Batman has all the best villains

Superman's rogues are highly underrated

Not really, most people have him top 5 which is right where he belongs. His is justly rated.

Haven't read any where he's had a proper appearance, but he's just not that impressive or interesting to me. Like the GL corps are pretty boring in general minus blackest night

Well, in general, I don't often see them mentioned in discussions like these, Maybe I'm not reading/listening to the right people discuss it.

Guys, it's Batman first and then Superman...There is no point still arguing about who has the best rogues gallery in comics...

If you don't think batman has at least a top 5 rogues gallery then you are simply wrong

Even though batman has some great foes his rouges gallery can shove some to the side and can sometimes be shoved aside for the same 5 villians. So as a whole I have to say the flash has the best then a tie between batman, spiderman, and GL (Hal cause sinestro is possibly one of the best characters in fiction. I also love superman's villians but some aren't very good threats to the man of steel.

Spidey has the best villains. Followed by Superman Batman X-Men FF in no order

Fantastic Four win for me. Doom, Galactus, Super Skrull, Ronan, Annihilus, Blastaar, Rama Tut/ Kang, Red Ghost, Mad Thinker, and the Frightful Four put them at the top.

Avengers, Batman, and Flash are up there as well. I'd probably place Captain America, Superman, X-Men, and Spider-Man after them.

I can say i really like X-Men Villains, Superman Villains & Flash's Villains but Batman has the best Villains. Hand down at least for me.

Batman. All of Spidey's villains are either basically in Batman's rogues already or encompassed by Batman Beyond, while the opposite isn't true.

The Flash's rogues, while interesting, are outweighed.

Superman's rogues are underrated, too.

Supermans rouges aren't that interesting though as they're not that relatable aside from Lex. Compared to batmans who are nearly all mentally ill people who no one but batman believes will get better.

I say Spider-Man has the best, most interesting, and the deepest villains.
