I have a question that I have been pondering for several days now.
Does PIS contribute to a character becoming overrated?

Yes, if enough people believe it, it can inflate people's estimation if said characters power levels, skill levels, etc.
@deadlycarnage: yes look at the loeb force and red hulk
@deathsamurai: PIS= Plot Induced Stupidity, CIS= Character Induced Stupidity.
It happened with Deathstroke.
Hardcore PIS resulted in him taking down the Flash, Green Lantern, Zatanna, Hawkman, Captain Atom without even batting an eye. Which ultimately led to serious fan-wank of the character.

I was ok with the way he took out everyone except Flash. Flash has dodged a bullet AFTER it touched him and that was before his huge speed upgrade.
@pokeysteve: Yea, but the Green Lantern one was as ridiculous. Think about it the strongest weapon in the unverse, that can form bubbles, cages, restrain the toughest villains, form planetary shields that can tank nukes. This ring could of trapped or stopped Deathstroke in a million different ways with only little imagination an without even trying.
Yet the one thing GL does is go for a punch..... What the F*ck? Why?

yeah I agree. im sure it was cool to read. but the chances of him contending with even one of those characters is 0
