So pick a writer you'd be most interested in seeing write your favorite title, or pick a writer you wish would come back to write that title. Include why, if at all possible. For an added bonus, pick a writer you wish would stop writing a title if you are dissatisfied with their job. Again, state why and try to be constructive, and avoid just torching the writers ("he sucks cuz he sucks") and such.

I'll start: I honestly wish that Rick Remender would return to Venom for Flash Thompson's swan song. Cullen Bunn is a great writer, and has overall done a good job, but Remender's run was something special. He really developed Flash into the character he has been used as.

I would like to see Paul Cornell come back to Stormwatch. I enjoyed his story, it was slow and Hawksmoor wasn't given a lot of limelight but it was better in comparison to what has come after it so far.

I want to see Jeff Lemire tackle a DC book that's set in space...If they could just let him do Adam Strange or something.

I'd get Jonathan Hickman to write a Black Panther title because he has shown he understands the character well with his use of him in his New Avengers run.

I'd get Rick Remender on a Wolverine solo title because his use of him during his Uncanny X-Force and Uncanny Avengers runs have shown me that he's one of Logan's best modern writers.

I'd get Jeff Lemire on a Question title because he's shown that he works well with small characters (His Green Arrow run).

I'd bring back Ed Brubaker to Captain America because he has the best Cap run ever.

I'd bring back Matt Fraction and Ed Brubaker to Iron Fist because of their incredible run with him back in the mid 2000s.

I would love to see Kurt Busiek come back to ShadowHawk

But if I had to be more realistic, it would be cool to see Rick Remender on Moon Knight.

I'd like to see Rick Remender on Bloodshot.

A writer I wanted to see off a title was Justin Jordan on Shadowman. He ruined a good concept. The new creative team looks beast though.

Anyway that's it.

Some writers I think are destroying right now:

V-Ditti on X-O

Jason Aaron on Thor

Rick Remender on Cap

Josh Dysart on Harbinger

James Asmus on Quantum & Woody

Bendis on Guardians of the Galaxy

Bendis on the flagship X-Men titles

And Alan Moore on any X-title, just because.

  • Joshua Hale Fialkov on The Amazing Spider-Man once Slott's stomach churning nightmare is over. His few short stories in ASM 692 and 700 have shown he's very capable of writing some good Spider-Man stories.
  • Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning on Green Lantern. It would have been so brilliant if Johns' run had been followed up by cosmic writers of these guys calibre.
  • Mark Waid on The Avengers. The Avengers need to become a fully fleshed out, well characterised team again to go with their epic stories and Waid can achieve both these things unlike Hickman.
  • Bryan Q Millar on Superman. He'd be much better than Lobdell and he's known for his character building work on Smallville: Season 11.

Warren Ellis and Adi Granov doing an Iron Man limited series.

Extremis is still one of my absolute favorite comic books. It's the pinnacle story arc for Iron Man IMO as it was a total game changer (think Dark Knigt Returns but for Iron Man). I'd love to see Ellis and Granov return, maybe for a tenth anniversary or something.
