I need good facts and reasons why people should choose either one,
Pc vs Consoles
PC. Better exclusive games, ability to customize just about everything, far more skillful players and competitive matches, and also you can play with a Controller if you don't like Keyboard + mouse. Also, the PC players are much cooler. A large majority of console players are kids who like playing kiddy games while screaming in the mic if you keep owning them. Though PC does have it's share of annoying / immature people as well...
I use both. I keep a console around for exclusives (mainly Halo), but every single game that is on PC, I will play on PC over console for the reasons given above.
PC all the way.
The only thing consoles have over the PC is some exclusive games as well as being more convenient.
Any other category consoles far behind by a good margin.

Yep. Main reason I don't wear a mic if I ever play multiplayer on a console.
@_raptor_: Better exclusive games? BWAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH! That's rich.
Is it? I bet Unreal Tournament, Tribes, StarCraft 2, some Battlefields, and some of the Counter-Strike games are all better than any Console exclusives you could think of

@zeroplus: You do know you can customize a pc for gaming right.

You do realize that most of those scratch that probably all of them are playable on PC since they released Playstation and Xbox emulators right?
Regardless PC murderstomps in the every single hardware department ( graphics, interface, sound etc..) considering that a $100 AMD PC GFX card recently matched the next gen consoles.
@strider92: You do realize emulations don't count towards a platform's library of games, right?
@strider92: You do realize emulations don't count towards a platform's library of games, right?
Does it make a difference? Your argument was that consoles are better because they have better exclusives when that is a complete mute point as you can play them on PC anyway regardless.
I am not having a repeat of last thread. You nuts with your emulations aren't getting under my skin this time. Legend of Zelda is not a PC title! EMULATIONS DON'T F%CKING COUNT! I guess bootlegged PC games formatted to run on consoles counts towards the console's library.
*tries to breathe*
*fails miserably*
*faints*
@strider92: It's not a moot point. Consoles have the better games.
@strider92: It's not a moot point. Consoles have the better games.
Ok let me put this another way. Why would you buy a console when you can play both PC and console exclusives on the same machine for cheaper and regardless of who they were desinged for?
@strider92: How's the Last of Us?
Consoles... you sit more comfortable, you can lie down and play, you have a bigger screen, the controller feels better than a keyboard and there is better games like God of War and Uncharted 3.
And my Playstation 3 graphics are actually better than my PC graphics because of HDMI cable.
@jaken7: Pretty damn good actually. Why?
@leonkarlen123: Nearly all your points have nothing to do with consoles. Maybe you have a limited understanding of how technology works.
Also, the PC players are much cooler. A large majority of console players are kids who like playing kiddy games while screaming in the mic if you keep owning them.

You haven't gamed until you've been in a 40 man raid for 12+ hours into the 4, 5 and 6 ams when you have to work at 7.
You finally kill that internet dragon and 40 nerds scream loud as f*ck over vent.
good times, pc gamers ftw.
Btw @jaken7 your entire argument is entirely subjective. I would rather play 1 Europa Universalis game than any of the ones you listed. But having better technology (for example) is not a point you can argue. Its a fact. You can get mad and angry and rant all you want but there's a clear difference in arguments. Better games can be argued both ways since who has fun doing what is entirely subjective.
Another big argument is mods. You know how many console gamers binge their games, beat them in a day, play them hardcore for a week then never touch them? A PC game can be modded by user base (these are extremely easily acquired with steam now too) and you can play the game for hundreds of hours more.
I've literally spent hundreds of hours playing a strategy game, then downloaded a mod that changed everything and spent hundreds more. All for the same 60 you spent beating Legend of Zelda once and never playing it again.
Again. If you prefer console games, props to you. But there are arguments you cannot argue that give PC a clear, factual advantage. Who has better games is completely subjective and thus opinions can and will vary.
@ultragreenboy: LOL
I need good facts and reasons why people should choose either one,
PC:
- All-round better technology
- Mods
- More accurate controls
- Emulators(any game you can play on a console, you can play with better tech., and more accurate controls on a PC)
Console:
- Generally a bigger screen
- Generally more comfortable seating(unless you pay half your arse for a great computer/office chair)
You can't emulate any console game on a PC. Emulators come at a very hefty processing cost because your processor is basically running another virtual machine on top of it. No commercial PC out there can emulate an Xbox 360 or PS3 game. If it did, the quality would likely be so bad that it wouldn't be worth playing.
PC overall is better. Mods, Graphics, No Gold or PS Plus required, and unofficial patches when the devs refuse to patch broken stuff ala Bethesda.
Not that I'm knocking consoles they each of good handful of exclusives and it's easy to know you can just pick it up and play anything that's released on it.

You can play through your TV with PC, and connect controllers making the seating thing a non issue also. I'd say PC is just a tougher thing to grasp when making purchases and looking for parts unless you buy a PC already built.

This without a doubt has to be some of the stupidest stuff I have ever read. Are you trolling?
PC has a lot of positives! But I enjoy my console, no need to wait and install the damn game when I could just pop right in and play. Also consoles are becoming more of an entertainment hub rather just strictly gaming. So if you are someone that has a huge mancave, I would go console.
PC for me , Advantages- Mods , Patches , Better Graphics , Better Controls where you can also play with a controller, More Customization, Emulators where you can easily emulate NES, SNES, PS1, PS2 ,PSP , Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Nintendo WII, Nintendo Gamecube, Nintendo DS exclusive games.
Disadvantage - You can't emulate PS3 & XBOX 360 exclusive games, there are emulator for both but they are still in beta stage & don't give more than 15 or 20 fps.
