Thanos Making Surfer Look Ridiculous:
When did this happen?
I think that's from Infinity Gauntlet.
Don't think so. I don't remember that in the comic and Thanos does not appear to be wearing the Gauntlet in that scan.

Know that you mention it, that is his normal gloves/gauntlet.
@willpayton: Comicbook timelines aren't a direct correlation to our Timeline. Some Comicbook story arcs take up to 6 or 8 months to come to fruition but are only a couple of weeks or days in the Comicbook universe. Just because their we're 3 years between him turning grey and coast city being destroyed doesn't mean it was three years in the comic
Also the narration clearly states that it was Parallax that caused him to turn grey
Happened in a What If? Comic booke here's Jean Grey owning Rachel while both possessed the Phoenix Force. The Shadow King had taken over Rachels mind to wield the Phoenix Force's. He aged Rachel to the point that her power manifested to equal that of Jean. Jean showed him who the real Phoenix wielder was

Yes i know what the narration says, it's just bad writing. The whole Parallax thing was a retcon to begin with, and making Hal's hair be Parallax too is simply the writer not knowing what he's writing about.
While comicbook time isnt linear, over large periods of time like years it is. Books in the 80's took place in the 80's, books in the 90's took place in the 90's, and so on. At any given time, a comic book takes place in the year that it comes out on. Since we're not talking about a single story arc, we're actually talking about a lot of stuff from 1990 to 1993, you cant explain it away like that.
So, the writer can say it's Parallax all he wants, but unless he says that Parallax was influencing Hal for 3 years, I call bullshit on it.
@willpayton: Considering it was written by Geoff Johns I'd take his word for it
@sylvain: That Radditz image is amazing!
It is.
Its also just a potential future that Surfer sees as opposed to actually what happened. Thanos makes Surfer his scribe against his wishes.
Although making Surfer do that wouldnt really be beyond Infinity Gauntlet anyways.
If I lived in the DCU, I'd ask Superman what Kilowog's boot tasted like.
Pssh if I lived in the DCU I'd be asking John Stewart what embarrassment tasted like :P
@lvenger: What's that scan from? I want to know what happens next =O
@dratini1331: It's from either Action Comics 829 or Adventures of Superman 642. Maxwell Lord starts to take control of Superman's mind and makes him imagine that his loved ones are endangered by his greatest enemies. Superman gets taken under Lord's thrall and Wonder Woman tries to free him. An epic battle ensues ending in Wonder Woman cutting Superman's throat with her tiara and killing Maxwell Lord to free Superman from his control.
@lvenger: I gotta get my hands on that issue, it sounds epic XD
@dratini1331: It's part of a storyline called Superman: Sacrifice. The issues for that story arc are in that link.
@lvenger: Nice! you're the best man.
Much appreciated.
Much appreciated.
Your Welcome
It's Cool
Much appreciated.
That scan never made sense to me. As powerful as Kilogwog is, we're supposed to believe he beat Hal Jordan and Superman at the same time.?

He has two rings. Somehow, more rings = more powerful.
Also, don't fck with the Poozer.

Having more than one ring doesn't increase you power. There's a Green Lantern that has four arms and has four rings, it doesn't make him anymore powerful than the other members of the corps

Touche, sir.
@dondave: Hmph. Makes me wonder why certain characters want/ed multiple rings...
So you have a backup in case out run out of power?
@sideslash: In My Opinion is was more of a conquest thing. You defeat your opponent and you take proof of it, in this case a ring

Maybe, but ten yellow rings is a bit OTT.

Never realised Hank Henshaw had that kind of personality. Mongul, sure.
Made my day
@the_legendary_supersaiyan_hulk: What manga is that from?
@dratini1331: If you mean my latest post on this thread, "Antimagia" though I have no clue if it's been discontinued or anything, it hasn't updated in a while i: it only has like 9 chapters atm lol
