Who do you think is way overpowered? And should they be nerfed? In my opinion, it's Thor. I don't think he should be nerfed but I think He is a bit too durable.
Overpowered Superheroes
Just about every Superhero above street level.
You think everyone above street level should be nerfed?
Do you have any idea how boring comics would be?

I assume you have not seen the latest Thor film, because in that he gets quite a beating in one part of it and in fact a number of Thor fans on the Thor forum are moaning that he is "under-powered!!" Just shows you can please some of the people some of the time....
None, it's all relative.
Thor isn't overpowered but his hammer is. Marvel needs to clarify what feats from the silver age he still can and can't do.
Characters that have to job to be beaten are overpowered. Silver Surfer definitely and Wally.
Doctor Doom. His defenses has defenses, which have defenses, and those, in turn, have defenses that have defenses with defenses and defenses.
Just about every Superhero above street level.
A character can be as strong, as weak, or have as many powers as they do; all that matters is that they are written well and developed properly. Its a cop-out for writers to claim that they can't challenge a character and for fans to take that stance because a they're "too overpowered".

No, I don't.
Most just have unnecessary power(s).

Well they're not unnecessary then, are they? If they make the character powerful enough to be defined as overpowered.
Street levelers are overpowered they have the nerve to call themselves human yet do things humans can't do period.

Pretty much this. The only time I'd say they are truly over powered is when they do stuff like this:
Something that goes way out of what there usual feats are with no explanation. And even then, it's really the fault of the writer not the character.
Doctor Doom. His defenses has defenses, which have defenses, and those, in turn, have defenses that have defenses with defenses and defenses.
I heard you like defending, so we put a defense in a defense so you can defend while you defend.
I don't really get the term overpowered, where would we be without the top tiers? Thor's durable sure, but so are his villains, it's not like he's beating the crap out of Doc Ock on a weekly basis.
Does Squirrel Girl count?
(And while we're on the topic of Squirrel Girl, where has she been for the past year?)
Doctor Doom. His defenses has defenses, which have defenses, and those, in turn, have defenses that have defenses with defenses and defenses.

Pretty much.
I usually agree that there's no such thing as overpowered until it comes to Doctor Doom. The guy can't really lose without plot.
It really is "season to taste". Seems I read somewhere Quesada really prefers to write street level guys because the rest are so unbelievable.
People of the ancient world worshipped gods of varying power levels. On the one hand, you had Dionysius, god of wine and revelries (IIRC)....at the other extremes were folks like Zeus, Poseidon and Heracles.
All a matter of taste at the end of the day.
At the end of the day, there really is no right or wrong answer here, just personal preference.
there is no such thing

And this. But you do know that Dr Strange was under Carrion's control at the time, right?
As long as the heroes' foes keep giving them a challenge, i think it's fine.
Also, it kind of backfires when you put someone like Fate or Strange on a team, so the villains have to take them out first, then the team has to revive them for a Deus ex Machina win.
Also, if any hero truly fit the word, it would be the Martian Manhunter. He's my favourite hero for his personality, but he can be a goddamn monster to get around without fire. Funny thing is that I want that fire weakness removed and replaced with something more reasonable though.

Actually I did not. That makes it more understandable. I really ought to learn the context of scans before I post them. :P
