Sorry I only read DC comics for some reason but pleas add to the list

Green lantern Hal Jordan later followed by Kyle rayner who became the most powerful superhero in DC comics

Barry Allen later followed by Wally west not sure if he's powerful but I heard he can steal spear and that's pretty damn powerful to me so add on what other next generation superhero that later became more powerful then the originle?

Every successive generation in DC became stronger and stronger. Prime example, Superman. The following supermen even had telepathy and what not. The same goes for street levellers as well, if you take into consideration that tech has advanced and new martial arts have been formed. (I. E. Batman one million)

I have to admit I liked it though:/

@warlock360:

Yeah, but then it'll get to a point where they get so powerfull it's ridiculous. So they depower them and the cycle starts all over again.

@battle_forum_junkie: not to mention that the villains also get powered up. And since it does meet its downspiral at the end again I still say its on :p
