In the Pre-52 universe Orion is the son of Darkseid, but in the New 52 he's the son of Highfather. I'm rather new to the character as I just really began reading about him, but is this a change or is it simply that he's going to find out further down in the line?
Orion's father?
@catsnlynne: Is that how it is in the New 52 too?
Darkseid (Orion's father) and Highfather (Scott Free / Mister Miracle's father) traded their sons. Darkseid got Scott, and Highfather got Orion.
@catsnlynne: Oh okay thanks for clearing that up
Currently, Orion seems to think that Highfather is his father, (or at least failed to show otherwise). Hopefully we get more Fourth World and some good stories come from them, but it seems to all be reminescent of the Kirby stories, complete with Orion having a face that changes to a monstrosity when he over exerts himself, and his raging brutality and need to fight.
Spoiler Alert
In one of the World 2 issues the one where Fury and Mr.Miracle have to escape apokalips a version of terry Sloan is seen speaking to Darkseid revealing how much he knows about the new gods. In this speech he reveals that mr. Miracle and Orion were switched in a peace pact. So it's still canon in the New 52
@cgoodness: ROFLOLOLOL.
