For those that participated in the poll as to what colored shirt would be best for Comic Vine t-shirt, here is your chance to finally purchase your very own shirt.

Now you can represent your favorite comic book website and show the world just how much you dig us. If you can buy one, great. I'd love to see more designs and options in the future but a lot obviously depends on what the interest is. In other words, if we don't sell a lot, it appears there wouldn't be a need for future shirts.

You can buy a shirt here.

I'll be "rep'n hard" for the 'Vine!... As the kids say...

I want to see how many people who voted black actually buy one.

Just an observation but wouldn't you sell more shirts without the female character that looks like Black Cat on it? Would stand to reason that it would appeal to a larger demographic without her. I know I'd feel more comfortable wearing it without her on it.

@pikahyper: That was discussed. This is the site's logo. Plus, I think it's cool that her belt looks like it has a letter G.

@G-Man: have you guys ever discussed having a community contest to come up with t-shirt designs? Maybe something in the same vain as the cool GB shirt. You could set base rules; must be X by X inches, Xdpi, use these colors, must include unaltered logo, no copyrighted characters, etc.. Grand prize winner could get a free one year VIP membership + the very first printed shirt in exchange for signing over the design, 2nd & 3rd place would get the same deal but with a one month VIP membership. Lot of artists on this site, could be a pretty big community event and then you could get multiple shirt designs that you know would sell based on the community voting for them :)

I agree with a poster above. the big breasted female draws to much attention from the site. and I can't wear it to work and wouldn't wear it in public. the back of the shirt is perfect. it shows off the site with out screaming at you. sometimes less is more

I dig this idea. We've got a lot of good artists here. I think it would inspire/encourage a lot of awesome, creative designs.

@texasdeathmatch: I can totally imagine a nice but trendy modern design similar to the how Hickman drew his Image covers, very simple yet bold and iconic, something that would look stylish and high fashionesque, I think the new 2013 GiantBomb shirt fits in to this kind of category.

@pikahyper: Yeah, pretty solid design. I think we can do better :P

I just want to rock a badass looking ComicVine shirt at the next comic book convention, since I go to about 3 a year (Comikaze, Wondercon, Comicon). Not so crazy about this tentacle / Black Cat design, even though its a site's logo.

@texasdeathmatch: of course we could do better, comic readers are more creative then gamers :P

Quite a nice design. Personally I don't think I could buy it, but I'm sure you will do decent business with it.

I don't understand why you guys even put up a vote to begin with. Aside fron design. Why not make a deal with one of the online tee shirt shops like customink and turn the logo over them and then WE can pick whatever color of shirt we want AND the grade of cotton. I fraking hate the fact that Black is always picked, the majoring of the time it's going to get voted on by kids but they will never buy the damn thing.

I putting it on my Christmas list.

Aww, I was hoping we could choose from different variations of the shirt. I'll get one regardless.

@MrGutts: I put up a vote to see what the majority of people wanted. On here and on Twitter, it was heavily leaned towards black. There isn't an option available because that requires more of a guarantee in purchases. In the past we have offered CV merchandise with little interest. We can't offer more choices unless there is a clear demand. That's why GB has different designs. They sell. If we can sell CV shirts, we can easily start getting more designs. Guess it's a catch 22 thing.

@G-Man: For the next shirt, have a mock-up of Superman curbstomping an anime character. "Comic Vine: Over 9000 hits."

#20 Posted by G-Man (25883 posts) - 8 months, 5 days ago - Show Bio

@sesquipedalophobe: Ha. We'd have to work something out with DC on that. In other words, probably not.

I think it'd be awesome if we could choose an image to be put on the shirt, perhaps an AV, and use that as the logo. I'd be willing to pay a little extra for that.

As this is my first forum post EVER, I would like to say that I heard about the shirt on last Friday's podcast and prompted me to join first time as a premium member. I have already used my store credit to purchase the shirt. Look forward to wearing it soon.

#23 Posted by Dreamcast89 (81 posts) - 8 months, 5 days ago - Show Bio

I'm sorry but putting that female on there means I won't be buying one. A simple black shirt with the green and yellow "comic vine" in the center would have been better.

it's kinda expensive. The tshirt looks fine.

@G-Man: How much would postage to UK be?

#28 Posted by YourNeighborhoodComicGeek (13821 posts) - 8 months, 2 days ago - Show Bio

Must buy!

A good concept for the next shirt would be maybe a comic geek reading a graphic novel whilst swinging on a vine in the jungle!

#29 Posted by G-Man (25883 posts) - 8 months, 2 days ago - Show Bio

@YourNeighborhoodComicGeek: Kinda like this? (Art by Darick Robertson!)

@G-Man: Whoa! That's like, exactly what I had in mind! Where did you get that?

You should make that as a T-Shirt. I'd buy it!

#31 Posted by G-Man (25883 posts) - 8 months, 2 days ago - Show Bio

@YourNeighborhoodComicGeek: A couple months before Comic Vine launched, I got Darick to draw me swinging on a vine holding comics. Then it was just colored with MS Paint. I have the original framed.

@G-Man: That is sick! You really should make it into a shirt if you have enough time. I'd soooo buy it.

Another cool design is possibly a person reading a comic book, and the cover has the Comic Vine logo with the staff on it as well.

I'm from AZ. If I wear a black t-shirt I'll die.....or catch on fire and wish I was dead.

Agreed with this. I've had to establish a rule that I would no longer buy shirts I would feel less than perfectly comfortable wearing if I ran into my boss out and around town.

The t-shirt should be GMan and Babs relaxing in the sun while I give them both one handed back rubs at the same time. No one in the picture should look like they're enjoying themselves.

Can someone out there give me a little help? Back on September 13 I joined the site as a subscriber and used me credit to buy the shirt. However, I still have not received it. I emailed support@giantbomb.com, but I haven't heard from anyone yet. Anybody know who to ask or when I should be receiving my shirt? Thanks in advance!

: I actually have the same exact problem. I joined on 9-14-12 and ordered the shirt the same day. Do you have any idea when it should ship/arrive? I was hoping to have it by NYCC so I could support my favorite comic site at the show. Thanks for the help!
