On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate Bale as Bruce Wayne?

For me, he sits around an 8.

Bale was able to seperate public Bruce Wayne from the real Bruce Wayne, and I think that's very important. The one scene that especially sticks out in my mind is the one in Batman Begins where he drives his party goers away. That is what Batman NEEDS Bruce Wayne to be; an arrogant, drunk playboy. He continued this as well, such as buying a whole freaking hotel in The Dark Knight.

I thought he was excellent. He could be serious Bruce right after playboy Bruce. Frankly, and I know we haven't seen him yet, but I don't think Ben Affleck will be able to pull this off as well.

So, overall, an 8.

Bale and Clooney are the best Wayne's IMO.

I would say 8. I would rate him a little higher if his Batman voice wasn't so obnoxious.

I give him a 5 for both roles. I honestly think that there are a great many actors who can growl their way through a role just as well.

As Bruce Wayne, 10.

As Batman... it would vary in each film

10 for Begins, 8 for TDK, and maybe a 6 for TDKR.

7.5. He was a pretty good Bruce Wayne. He almost plays three different people, as the OP touches on. Batman, public BW and the real BW.

The hotel buying was in Begins. He bumps into Rachael on the way out and she makes him cry okay not really. Your comment about Ben Affleck not being able to pull that off as well isn't really fair since Affleck has nothing to do with the script which is where the building blocks of their personalities are laid out.

For him as Bruce Wayne a would say 7 or 8 IMO, honestly I liked him for that.

For him as Batman.................negative 13.6

I agree with you on that Batman rating! But Bale's performance both as Bats & Wayne did nothing for me. I'll be generous though & give him a 3.5 for Bruce Wayne. I would go with a 2, but like I said, being generous. Michael Keaton & Kevin Conroy FTW!!

Bale was a good Batman, but Nolan didn't let him excel as Bruce Wayne.

I'd give him a 10/10. I thought he fit the role of Bruce Wayne perfectly and wish he could have continued the role in the DC Cinematic Universe.

Pretty much this, except Ben Affleck is known as a writer, director and producer, so i wouldnt doubt that he might have something to do with the script

But here's a surprise for everyone: I would currently bet money Batfleck will knock everyone's socks off and be remembered as one of the best Batmen in movie history.
