Omnipotent and Indomitable

Who would win if a Omnipotent character clashed with a Indomitable character?

Indomitable means that's it's impossible for you to be defeated and Omnipotent means you can do anything. Would it be a draw?

Omnipotent wins. An omnipotent being can literally do anything. This includes killing something that cannot be killed.

But you're taking away the definition from the word because it's IMPOSSIBLE for you to be defeated. A Omnipotent character could make himself impossible to defeat as well but it wouldn't get rid of a Indomitable character. I'd say it's a draw.

Yes but being omnipotent means you can change the very concept of being impossible to be defeated/undefeatable. Indomitable is a state of being in reality, a law but being omnipotent means you make the reality and laws.

This. The indomitable person was likely so because the omnipotent being desired it to be.

Omnipotence exists outside of the plain of reality. If it cannot defeat something, then it is not omnipotent and therefore, this fight cannot happen.

Any fight putting an Omnipotent character against a character that is not Omnipotent, leaves the Omnipotent one as the winner.

Likewise, any fight with an Omnipotent character on both sides, ends with a stalemate. Regardless of which other characters are involved.

If an omnipotent can't beat someone, they aren't omnipotent.

Or we take the thought-experiment even further - perhaps there can truly only be 1 omnipotent being, as if there were someone else not affected by the whim of said omnipotent being - said person isn't truly omnipotent then.

The-One-Above-All for example, is Omnipotent. Stated by Marvel, who created him. Likewise, the Man of Miracles, created by Image, is Omnipotent.

The fact that the two megaverses were never meant to interact, is a problem for those of us that discuss/debate those things, but that doesn't change the fact that those two characters(among others) are Omnipotent.

@sirmethos: I was stating all of that with the assumption we're within one universe here (if only because the OP used descriptive terms & not specific character names).

And really, who thinks pitting the omnipotents of each comic-company against each other is a fun time? lol.

The real question is this: If an omnipotent being is infinitely powerful, and is capable of all things, can one make a boulder so large that it can kill him without him being able to stop it?

Or microwave a burrito so hot that he can't eat it?

This is just a variation of the unstoppable force vs immovable object discussion IMO... Which according to Superman results in "they yield". Basically then they wouldn't even bother taking part in combat in the first place since each knows it is pointless.

Its sort of just an exercise in meaning really. Like we can use words to try and explain definitions and meanings but they are largely projections of our imagination and ability to comprehend. Omnipotence is really just a projection and it comes with a host of problems. Like if an all powerful being can transcend its own nature (the nature of being all powerful) and not be all power? Or is it restricted by its nature to be all powerful? If its all powerful it should be able to transcend its own nature no? All does an all powerful being have to be careful not to lose its all powerfulness? Everyone is all powerful, in a sense, it just takes some time and effort and external aid/resources. Most peoples idea of omnipotence is the internal ability for a being to do anything at their whim and wish. Is that being forever though? Everywhere? External and internal to anything and everything? What do each of those terms/ideas really mean?

Is it the equivalent of a cave man wondering who wins in a fight between 2 dragons and 2 giants? Contingent on what that cave man actually understands and qualifies as a dragon and giant, things mots likely born out of his imagination and ability to project ideas that aren't necessarily actually real? Basically one of the applications of them term omnipotent and indomitable will be tested. Bystanders/onlookers to the spectacle will probably exclaim well I guess that guy wasn't actually omnipotent or indomitable after all...
