@maccyd: Is there any Skaven novels?

im sure there is one about them going to War against followers of Nagash but i could be wrong.

@jonny_anonymous: Not too sure off the top of my head, since I'm not a fan of the Skaven. I'm sure there are some, considering they're involved with most of the other major factions.

There seems to be three or four of them so that's good :)

@chaos_prime: @jonny_anonymous: Vermintide and Headtaker are some Skaven novels. They also appear a lot in Gotrek and Felix also.

They actually have their own series revolving around a character called Tanquol. The link Chaos Prime posted is the first in the series (I think). Most skaven novels seem to be connected to him in some way (think he appeared in Gotrek and Felix, perhaps that was his first appearance.)

There's probably more, but that's what I could find out.

@maccyd: Yeah but I doubt it'll be called Warhammer: Total War when its released. Games Workshop are over protective of their franchise it'll probably be called something else but yes I am looking forward to it. I think GW do need to loosen their grip on the Warhammer franchise a little. I admire them for saying FU to some American film producers who wanted to make a movie out of it but change the lore. They really aren't all the money motivated lol. However part of me also hates em for that as I really want to see both 40k and Fantasy on the big screen. Would be so awesome /drools

@jonny_anonymous: Nope, Creative Assembly (behind Total War) are making a strategy game with the Warhammer licence.

@strider92: Yeah, I know it's more of a nickname, since everyone expects its gameplay to be inspired by total war.

@jonny_anonymous: the guy with the Hammer is Sigmar. Basically Warhammer Fantasy's version of the Emperor.

Creative Assembly the studio that makes Total War has the license to make Warhammer games now.

@strider92: For some reason, I always thought Sigmar was bald (probably mixing him up with one of his warrior monks).

@maccyd: Yea, I love fantasy in general it's just 40K was my introduction in to Warhammer

@jonny_anonymous: Yeah, there's still a lot of WH lore that I don't know. I found it fairly faction based, so if it's not connected to your favourite factions, you're unlikely to know about it (Could be just me). I mainly know Sigmar through his relationship with the dwarves (his warhammer was a gift from them, if I remember).

Most 40k factions derived from WH fantasy factions, so you could use the reverse of that to find out about the fantasy factions. I think Tau and Tyranids (probably spelled wrong) are the only ones to not have any fantasy counterparts.

Same here but to be honest im finding the fantasy side to be much more creative with the majority of its characters. Unlike 40k that to be honest is near enough all things Space Marines & after a awhile u start routing for the other sides.

@maccyd: The fantasy factions I am most interested in are the Tomb Kings and Skaven, I think the designs are great.

Ok apart from a few details on Wiki can anyone tell me about this Orion fella? Love to know his full history & if hes featured in any novels/short stories please :)

@chaos_prime If I remember correctly he is the leader of the wood elves aka Consort King and the Living Avatar of Kurnous aka the elven god of the hunt and the lord of beast.There is a book that should be out about him.

I hope so because from the little ive read about him he seems very interesting :)

@chaos_prime Well actual there are books out already that I just check on the black library website and two of them are out.

@shadowswordmaster Thumbs up for that :) He looks even more epic in those scans!!

@chaos_prime Yeah those cover art are really beautiful , I think Winter of Vault is the first part and then Tears of Ishia is the second part of the trilogy if it is a trilogy.

If it is might hold off giving em a read till later in May as im so looking forward to reading a 40k book out on the 6th of May about the White Scars Space Marine Chapter during the Horus Heresy :)

Quick question do you listen any warhammer fantasy or even warhammer 40k podcast at all ?

I took some photos of some of the skaven I had spent a little more time painting and I'll post them later, I don't think I can post photos from my tablet.

In all honesty, I think I enjoyed putting them together and painting them more than the actual game itself...is that bad?

@doomdoomdoom: No it's not bad for you to like putting them together and painting more then the actual game I think there are more people that do that then you realize .These are pretty good shaven too.

@shadowswordmaster: Thanks. Games Workshop use to have a game called Inquisitor the figures were much larger and I think you only used one rather than an army, anyways,I always wanted to grab one of those to customize and paint but if I recall they were kinda pricey.

@doomdoomdoom: I remember those too those were good looking models and the game itself was okay to be fair.

@shadowswordmaster: Never had the chance to play it but it seemed interesting, I would imagine you would have to have quite a bit of scenery to use to keep the game lively. It didn't have a fantasy counterpart did it?

AHHH WARHAMMER my 6500 points of skaven love fighting. I have a 2500 point army of Ogres. I also have a 2000 point army of Wood Elves.

With the new Wood Elves Book Coming out I will be getting a large Wood Elf army.

@manchine: Saw that figure earlier tonight, wood elves never did it for me but good lord that's an awesome looking piece. 6500 point Skaven army...so many figures. Base your army around any of the clans specifically?

At 6500 points I can do just about any clan. Even with that I am still missing a few things. I haven't bought to much of the new stuff.

I think that treeman looks dreadful.
