Off YOUR Mind: What Comic Books Would Make a Great TV Show?
I would make animated series based on War Machine himself taking stark position as Iron Man do crime fighting his style guns blazing with his War Machine armor Tony Stark built for him. This show tv would be rated PG-14 so expect lots violence. The show would be loaded with over top high octane adrenaline blood rushing action, War Machine is gonna kick ass in the show and he won't hold back as much as Iron Man did . The storyline would be like a serious action blockbuster movie, the art style is gonna be like Japanese Mecha Anime something like Gundum 00. Some episode would feature him teaming up with other marvel superheroes fight some villian, like Nick Fury, Hawkeye,Falcon,Luke Cage,Iron Fist ,Hulk,Winter Soldier, Wolverine, etc (the really good one). The fight scenes would be badass loaded with gun foo combat at close quarters and at long range and brutal hand to hand combat going toe to toe. It would also feature a backstory about James Rhodes going to the Air Force. So do You Guy Think about this Idea. By the way it gonna have the most badass action rock or rap music keeping your interest of this show.
I would love to either a true batman inc show (batman being a little more hands off focusing on a new local every few episodes) and I know alot of people will disagree but an aquaman show would be awesome not a campy-weak joke version of aquaman but the true to comic honed strong fighter version. The aquaman show would be pretty awesome showing him go from happily married to a lone warrior (skulking in the aqua cave) throughout the season (maybe season 1 could revolve around his marriage disintergrating, then season 2 could be him falling in love with dolphin/garth growing, etc)
Martian Manhunter. It would be a detective show that follows John Jones as a detectie and also have the superhero part and have some awesome Martian Manhunter.
It's easy to gauge just how hard a TV series based on a comic is to budget just by reading up on The Walking Dead series.
A TV series can work if animated, but with better animation that older people can enjoy
Yeah, but I think X-Factor might end up seeming too similar to Alphas.Smallville had a budget of 2-4 million per episode.A superhero show has to be character-driven because it's more cheaper.
If a superhero hero show were gonna happen, the people will have to have "invisible supers" like superhearing. An X-Factor is doable, many of the character's superpowers are invisible and people like detective shows.
One character I think would make a pretty good tv show would be Gambit. He is a fun character and they could do the show with a fairly low budget I think. I think a Gambit tv show could fit really well on a channel like FX. Since Fox already owns the right to the X-Men franchise it could greatly utilize the franchise. FX is already know for making tv shows where you sometime question how they it passes regulation to be on cable tv (Example: Nip Tuck, The Shield, Sons of Anarchy, Rescue Me, and American Horror Story). They don't skimp on the quality of tv shows on FX. also the fact that they already play a lot of comic book movies a Gambit show would fit right in. I would like them to make the Gambit character more comic like rather than the attempt in the Wolverine Orgina movie. I think that it could really work.
Gotham Central.
I'd dig a suicide squad as well, and or Secret Six
But, really I just want a AMERICAN VAMPIRE tv show.
Something similar to Smallville but with Batman could work. The journey of Bruce Wayne before he comes back to Gotham and becomes the Bat.
Each season he masters a new skill:
Different fighting styles (in Japan and China),
Detective/tracking skills (I really want to see more of Ducard story that they have introduced in new Batman & Robin)
Survival techniques
and maybe some more. you only have to change the sets every season and it is much more of a crime drama without the suits and superheroes. throughout the whole series he learns more and more about crime and how it works.
Also as he travels the world he can encounter different types of crime - mafia, cults, terrorists, corruption and of course the straight-up crazies
I would like a live action horror series based on Werewolf By Night. It could show his earlier days fighting capes and having wild nights out, then gradually changes into a darker series. Guest apperances by Blade, Dracula, and Stephen Strange could be done.
Well, i would watch a Justice League show other than X-Men. X-Men has a a lot of TV shows, so it would be fair for the Justice League.

@guttridgeb: Marvel has the film rights to those anyway.
Yeah, I forgot Marvel pretty much has Daredevil back now, though it isn't official until October
The Unwritten could translate really well in a world where we have shows like Grim and Once Upon a Time out there. Fables too for that matter.

he would be a perfect for an TV show maybe have cameos from wolverine in a weapon X episiodie
YES!!!!! YES A MILLION TIMES!!
@Pauldro: Suicide Squad! yes! hoping the John Ostrander version Luke Mcdonnel/ Karl Kessel work with these characters:
Deadshot, Rick Flag, Enchantress, Nemesis, Nightshade, Plastique, Bronze Tiger, and Amanda Waller.. and don't forget Captain Boomerang!
Would depend on the budget for the show. A lot of comics could make pretty awesome TV shows if they had a big enough budget to support it.
Y:The Last Man would make a great AMC series. Also, Fables would be awesome. Oh! Oh! And Hack/Slash on Showtime !
Sandman, Preacher, Unknown Soldier & Y:The Last Man would all make for great series on AMC, HBO, or Showtime. I'm excited to see what happens with the Thief of Thieves show on AMC. Really wish Jon Hamm was available to play Redmond.
I would love to see a No Hero TV show. Although it was only 8 issues (including #0) it could be stretched out to make it a little longer than 8 episodes. Also the fact it isn't part of any other story lines or tie-ins it can be finished and left alone without any extra add ons or whatever.
I think Power Man and Iron Fist would be a pretty great show.
Also, I heard a while back (here: http://albotas.com/post/4088306170/showtime-is-turning-the-comic-chew-into-a) that Chew is already being made into a TV show... Heard literally nothing of it since, though.
im gonna have to say Batman and Robin a detective drama centered around the Bat Family.
a story that shows Bruce as Batman, a father and as Bruce Wayne. Then you have Damien as Robin a young misfit who we can all tell just wants to be normal throw in big brother NightWing and with fellow brothers Red Hood and Red Robin to be there i think you a good show
