I'm a bit curious if CV ever has anyone else way in on these "hot-button issues," or do you only have access to this stable of industry pros? And really, with back-to-back events allowing regular readers little time to breathe between, I can't imagine comic events NOT blending together in casual observers' minds.

If reading comics has taught me anything, it's that about 85% of average citizens are a bunch of ungrateful assholes who deserve to live in a state of terror all the time.

The average citizen doesn't know an event in comics is happening, nor does he/she care.

If I were a normal, average citizen in the Marvel or DC Universes, considering the sheer number of events, I'd probably volunteer myself for an experiment to get superpowers just so I could defend myself & protect my family(just not an Extremis experiment, yeesh). In the DCU, if it has to do with crazy Kryptonians or Superman or his alternate counterpart going crazy & taking over the world, I'm getting ahold of some damn Kryptonite one way or another. And if I lived in Metropolis or Gotham City, I'd move as far away from those places as I could- maybe Hawaii; they don't seem to be affected by these events. Or the mountains of West Virginia. But if an event happens like Flashpoint or any of the various Crises on whatever Earths happen, it won't matter anyway- history will be altered, I & all the other average citizens would have our histories altered & retconned & not remember anything of our previous timeline- until the next crisis comes and screws up that timeline. In the Marvel Universe I'd just have to worry about surviving- protecting me & my family until the crisis is over, or when the heroes start being heroes again and stop fighting each other. And in the case of Original Sin, I don't have much to worry about, because I'm pretty much an open book. I'm pretty astute and knew the people that screwed me over & things like that, and I actively avoid those people and extricate them from my life, so I don't see any secret bombshells hitting me there.

Wait are they talking about the average citizen with in the comic universe? If so, I'm thinking average citizen in the comic universe doesn't care & doesn't really know.

They just want to be safe & they are going to believe whatever they are told. Captain America comes on TV, smooths things over.

To the average citizen, what's an event to us the readers is probably just another day for them. They're probably just like, "Oh look, it's ANOTHER alien invasion...haven't had one of those for about two weeks now, was wondering when the next one would roll around." xD

The real question is, how do they maintain the same population count when most of them die when a villian attacks or an alien invasion happens? Since they always seem to come back in a matter of days by mass reproducing I don't think they would care if they live or die lol.

I say when you do NOT see Superman or Ironman flying in the sky.

Or when the males see a super female hero/villain & talk about wanting to tap her power-source, or Spoiler can slide up & down his bat-pole all day, Fapping to ArissaRabb ,while the female citizens talk about how inappropiate & slutty the female suits look. Just weeks after those stripper suits pulled their selfs out of a burning building or a bio-farm matrix.

They definitely got the question, but there was also the guy who talked about the sun shining through the clouds and the monkey sidekick making a joke. Very Super Friends specific, but he got the question.
