Everywhere in the world there are more and more fat people. America are the biggest fatties of all, holding no 1 spot, with Australia in second place. My question is: What is causing this concerning epidemic and how do we change it? Some people have recommended a fat tax, meaning that if you fall into obese territory, measured by BMI you pay tax. This obviously doesn't apply to people with medical conditions that affect their weight. I think it's a good idea, after all they are a burden on the system as a result of their obesity related illnesses. I am fit and look after myself, why should I have to pay more because of fat blobs? As for the causes, I just think that people have become lazy and soft. What do you guys think?

First of all, Mexico is the number one country for obesity.
Second, this thread shouldn't have been made.
And if you ask me why "then why am I posting". I'll answer post count.
@legacy6364: Still doesn't change the fact that the fatties need to own up and take responsibility for their lifestyle choices, rather than constantly deflecting the blame and playing pretend. Please answer the original question.
No fellow Viner. I do not think obese people should be taxed for being obese.
I am curious, are you a ruthless dictator, or just a individual with a transparent animosity towards obese individuals?
Also, choice defines us. We can choose the let ourselves fall, or we can choose to make ourselves better.
But we shouldn't have the right to choose for others. You take away freedom of choice from the people, and things get real ugly, real fast.
How about you tax the garbage they eat instead?
And use the money to subsidise healthy food
