"Nyehh Marvel movies only have one good villain!"

This is a common complaint about Marvel movies, the only truly great villain is Loki. But why does everyone always forget about Winter Soldier? I remember watching Cap 2 for the first time and being awed at how intense the character was, Sebastian Stan barely even said two words and yet he became one of the most brutal, intimidating villains I've ever seen. He brought such an animalistic efficiency, I have no idea how they did it, but hats off to Sebastian Stan and the Russo brothers.

Am I the only one who thinks this? Why is Winter Soldier never given credit as being a "great" villain, on par with the likes of Joker, Zod, and Loki? I thought he was just unbelievable.

He wasn't a villain, he was a weapon.

He was under mind control, I don't think that counts. And you consider Scar Lite Loki a good villain? Pfft, okay

Mandarin was the best villain.

I like several of the MCU villains. Alexander Pierce was a good villain, Iron Monger, Nebula, Kurse, Arnim Zola, and Rumlow...that isn't even counting Bucky.

That actress from Two Broke Girls is the best MCU Villain ever...... As for as Zod, Boardwalk Empire messed up that actor for me.... I can't look at him, and take him serious as that character.....

I'm sorry to people who like Winter Soldier, but he didn't do anything, he looks badass but that's about it.

Robert Redford wasn't a bad villain.

Kingpin was good, Loki weren't too bad, I think the problem is, barring kingpin, none of the villains felt menacing on a level, Loki was smashed by hulk, winter soldier was a pawn, all three iron man guys were good but weren't as scary as they could have been,kurse is only memorable to the average comic book fan, and don't even get me started on ultron. I like these movies but their villains are less focused on sometimes , daredevil made kingpin scary with 13 episodes,flash made thawne intimidating with 23, same with arrow and death stroke. I'm not saying they need a television series, but maybe more villain focus and take it easy on the gimmicks

I personally thought Zod sucked, Faora was a better villain in my opinion.

Kingpin is the best mcu villian.

I liked Faora's personality more, but they were both mediocre villains.

@theamazingspidey: I don't exactly like superman comics... Just my own preference, I like comical or dark. But judging by the film Faora seems like she has way more potential as a character.

P.s. I like Deadpool, Joker, and Harley Quinn type comics

I hope she comes back in a future MoS film. I really didn't like MoS very much, but I enjoyed Faora.

Iron Man: Obadiah Slane was an excellent villain, always overlooked.

IM2: Whiplash was pretty cool and menacing, and took War Machine and IM to defeat him and his drones. Not too bad IMO

IM3: The concept of Mandarin was amazing (the reveal was saddening), and Killian was just underwhelming at the end. Overall weakest of IMs

Cap: Red Skull decent and semi-menacing for the time period they established, not enough screen time and development as RS IMO

Cap2: Winter Soldier was amazing (and a villain in the movie despite mind control), The origin of crossbones was handled well and the character was pretty cool and held his own. Pretty good showings

GotG: Ronan was pretty serious, menacing, ruthless and awesome, but the dance-off makes everything else he did somehow null and void. Nebula was a decent villain despite little screen time.

Thor: Loki was a good villain and about as devious as Loki normally is in comics (god of mischief, guys). overall the movie was weak, but Loki and his destroyer were pretty strong parts of it.

Thor 2: Malekith was a decent villain in an overall decent movie.

Avengers 1: Loki was good, again, but that's nullified in a lot of peoples minds with the Hulk slamming him (pretty sure bruce tosses loki around in the comics too soooooooooo........)

Avengers 2: Ultron was a great villain with a bigger picture threat that people cant seem to wrap their heads around. most common complaints are that his voice isn't to their liking and that (though mirrored off TONY STARK's PERSONALITY) he made jokes. booo frickin hooo. Great villain

Daredevil: Kingpin had the most time to develop due to being on a show and was a great villain.

@theamazingspidey: I actually liked it, like I said Superman isn't really my thing, mostly because his lack of every issue personality. Everynow and then I can read an issue but in the movie they actually made me like him.

To be honest I think the only time I really laughed at a superman comic was after the classic ONE PUNCH!!! When (Knowing Superman) he calls batman in and gives him that "son you're in trouble look" and then is like omggg how'd it feel?!?!?! And he laughs

There's a bunch of awesome MCU villains, and Winter Soldier is definetly one of them.

@ultrastarkiller:i was unsure if they really acknowledge the incredible hulk due to actor change. Abomination was a badass villain. Potentially one of my favorites of the universe. The actor was good for when he was human and their ending brawl was awesome. good catch.
