I'm sure both will be awesome villains but The Design I've seen from Ultron and Thanos They just don't seem to be that good In my eyes. There voices also seem out of place. Ultron seems a little bit too human and Thanos's voice well. Its the same problem I had with Darkseids voice in JL war. Its cliché for a giant titan. I liked it better when he had the voice of a rather civilized man that was smooth yet intense when needed.
Not liking the Designs and Voices for Ultron and Thanos?

i feel you. maybe it will work better once we see more screen time of ultron and thanos but yae im just a tad disappointed....more so in thanos.
I like Thanos' design and I'm okay with the voice, but I'm just not digging the way Ultron looks. Hopefully it'll start to grow on once I see a proper trailer.
instead of making Benedict Strange, which he looks nothing like, they should've made him the voice of Thanos.
That's the exact opposite of what I said about thanos. He sounds like a Brute IMO instead of like a genius with mannerswhich I'd prefer him as. I'm sure He'll be good either way.

I don't think my description was written right, my bad. I mean it the sense that yeah, his voice should be deep to reflect his large physique, but he didn't have that gravely, near-monster voice which would have made him appear more brawn than brain. Even though his voice was deep, from what I remember back in August, it didn't have that 'monster' quality to it and had a bit of that sophistication and condescension. Sorry, I just didn't write it clearly.
Really? one of my favorite cinematic villains of all time was Hal from the Space Odyssey . The cool factor that Ultron had was that he was pure logic and not really a cold hearted killer just a cold caculator. That's a nice change of pace for a Villain in my book.

Ultron was never really just an emotionless logical machine he's actually expressed the desire for companionship and family, this is why he's always after Hank Pym and the Vision, it's also why he made his wife jocasta look like janet
@tex_the_slayer: I like my villains to be actual villains and not just a threat for the hero to face for 2 hours.
Ultron is supposed to be mocking humanity. Hence his humanlike characteristics. IMO, this is FAAAAR more intetesting than his comic counterpart.

You mean like a majority of Marvel Villains ;p
@tex_the_slayer: Exactly.
Most of the MCU villains aren't anything special. That's why i'm excited about Whedon's take on Ultron.

@tex_the_slayer: i always imagine Thanos to sound like like Keith David or Michael Clarke Duncan.
@spidey_jackson: Meh. Seems pretty cheesy to me, and comics Ultron design>>>>> Movie design.
@bluejay4: To each his own.
I'm not a big fan of comic Ultron, so go figure.
